The dates are official, and they've announced their first confirmed act. Longwalkshortdock will make his popular return. I would be surprised to not see Dirt Crew there again too, since they named it in their XLR8R Best Of 2007 list:

What will be big in 2008? - The return of house!

Best clothing label - Stone Island.
Best style trend - Nu Rave??
Worst style trend - Nu Rave!!
Best Videogame - We don't do that!

I do find it a little ironic they trash the new Underworld when their sound is completely dependant on the path Underworld laid out. And what did Richie Hawtin do except rule? They're right about Logic and Soundwave, though.

this is my favorite party of all time. i try to go every year.

also - chadwick, this isn't really a surfing beach cause of the rocks. but there is a tonne of great nudity, which i am sure more than makes up for it.

and the gorillas - oh the gorillas. i have a gallery full of pics from two years ago on my fb.

buck lee and i are in full effect for dis one!

A group of 16 of my friends are doing that too, in August. It's like a three story houseboat with a hottub and queen sized beds. $400 a piece is kinda steep, though.

Soundwave adds up quickly too though, particularly when you don't have a gravel road friendly car and have to rent one!

Once you add together the cost of tickets, food, liquor, gas, and camping fees if you want to make it a full week, Soundwave can get pricey.

IVE DONE HOUSEBOAT TRIPS THE LAST 3 SUMMERS, WE USED TO HAVE A REALLY GREAT PARTY UP THERE, BRING UP A SOUNDSYSTEM AND DECKS, THROW A HUGE EVENT ON ONE OF THE DESERTED POINTS. AWAY FROM ANYONE WHO COULD HEAR US. 200 PEOPLE ON ONE 3 STOREY HOUSEBOAT? SCORE!

LAST YEAR THE COPS DECIDED THEY DONT WANT PEOPLE PARTYING AS MUCH. ANY TIME WE TURNED ON SPEAKERS ANYWHERE THE COPS WERE ON OUR ASS THREATENING TO FINE US AND CONFISCATE OUR GEAR. Although with the beating our vehicle took- and the ferry costs..it would have been cheaper to have come and party here in the Kootenays...and I was living in N.Vancouver..:suspicious: Fix dat road please!

One Eyed Willy and I were getting along just fine until he freaked out a little and security had to be called.

You have to admit it was pretty awesome when we were talking about how he was likely a ghost pirate and you hear, "joooon, can I have another beer??"

Ahhh Soundwave, I wanna go back.
