There are some DJs who just play music, or some who just battle. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to, perhaps the most versatile DJ in Canada, Mat The Alien. There are no words to describe the experience of witnessing this DJ..... he prefers to let the tables do the talking (video link)

UK bred Mat the Alien started playing records on his brother¹s 1200¹s at the age of 15.
Mat pioneered a legendary 4-turntable night with Vancouver hip-hop pioneer Kilocee and the Incredible Ease named Spare Grooves and was also the host of Context, showcasing live, underground hip-hop from all over Canada and the US.
Mat has judged the DMC Championships for the past 5 years and played shows with the likes of- AFRICA BAMBAATA, del, The Herbaliser, ROOTS MANUVA, Josh Martinez, Buck 65, Atmosphere, DJ CRAZE, Q-BERT, A-TRAK, Klever, Spitakular, KID KOALA, The Rascalz, Swollen Members, Moka Only, sweatshop union, Mr. Brady, DJ DOPEY, Perfect Combination, BAD COMPANY, Rahzel, Aceyalone, THE BEATNUTS, Killa Kela, Jeru the Damaja ,adam f, PEANUT BUTTER WOLF,roc raida,the beat junkies, the JUNGLE BROTHERS+ many more. Mat had also been featured in lodown magazine berlin, modest bike ,snowboard canada, skiing us, knowledge magazine
and many more.
As a C1RCA Presents artist, mat has mixed the 2002 C1RCA Presents Knowledge magazine mix ² CD, which showcased his ability to blend several styles of music seamlessly. Over 50,000 units of the CD were distributed worldwide. The follow-up CD, ³C1RCA Presents C1pher 2004², which also features DJ Dopey, the 2003 World DMC Champion, is out now 30 000 copies.

22 year old Wax Romeo is undoubtably the world's greatest lover, but when he's not breastfeeding, he can be found cobbling together funk tunes in the studio, or playing at Hai Karate every Thursday with Calgary' finest, the Smalltown Djs. His forthcoming Ep on Calgary's Bigfoot Records has recieved such praise as,
"A real beautiful party rocker!" - Malente
"Belters...I need them." - Boca45
He has also done remix work for west-coast heavyweights Wicked Lester, reworking their classic club thumper,
Where's My Honey, featuring Moka Only, which is scheduled to be released on Bigfoot in the spring of 2006. He pulls
influence from the likes of the Fort Knox Five, and west coast party-chameleons, Vinyl Ritchie and the Smalltown Djs.
Expect to hear an eccletic blend of funk, rock, disco, dancehall and breaks when you see him play, so grab a drink and
