Funk. Some people have it and Canadian House Icon Christian Alvarez was born with it. Influenced by early disco and funk he came to love house music while living and clubbing at Fabric & Ministry in London. Priding himself on technical perfection, he created a signature sound of uplifting, ass shaking house and as a result, quickly found himself to be on top of Vancouver’s house scene. Fast forward to October 2002 & Christian made the transition to international production whiz with his first contract coming from Oliver Abbeloos's [AKA Conga Squad / Cmos) Holographic Records based in Belgium. As if receiving the respect from one of disco house's most revered producers wasn't enough, Christian then licensed tracks to labels like Kid Crème’s Illegal Beats, Germany’s Brickhouse Records, Stonebridge's Stoneyboy, Canada’s powerhouse Eyezcream Recordings and two collaborations with Dave Armstrong released on Solmatic and Funktech. He then did remixes for Josh the Funky 1 and Vitamin D's labels and got plays from the worlds largest players such as Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Brian Tappert, Hardsoul, Olav Basoski, Junior Jack, Kid Creme, Bad Boy Bill, Dj Dan, Hatiras and many, many more.
