o i didnt mean chopping chords, i meant instead of like one flowing rif to keep like one quick rif, then a slow progression into another quick rif,
hard to explain typing lol. like a metal style rif, then travel along the scale into a different rif |

Well I guess I can't speak "personally" but this singer/guitarist guy I'm workign with has written tons of riffs and vocals over my beats. apparently he really likes it and everyone is saying it sounds pretty damn good over the house.. hardcore breaks.. dnb ..
Ive been told doing guitar over quanitzed beats is sorta hard so I tried to keep them live not quite so snapped, and/or used loops for that liver feel. Hes gunna make a trip out here and record next week Ill see how it goes!! |

I'll play records and guitar over house breaks or funk.
it's a great way to learn new songs or to do remixes on the fly. It's just a challenge to stay in key as you need to keep the quartz lock on with the pitch of the turntable at zero. if you are using cds a master tempo control really comes in handy. |
