Weezer Sucks!!!!
Blue album is a classic.
Pinkerton showed great maturity.
Green album was a killer comeback.

I even went to the show at the pne for the green album tour, and it was great.

The past couple of albums are so bad. The lyrics are horrendous. I don't think they even care what they pump out as long as people buy it.
I now added Weezer to the hate list. They joined members such as Alice in Chains, Fleetwood Mac, and don't forget Abba.

interesting. Was never a huge fan but have seen/heard a lot of artists do this kind of thing. Look at whats going on with a lot of these dudes Roots off to rough start at new label. Its pretty obvious that these labels have a huge influence.

Only reason Weezer has a career still is due to several thousands of teenaged memories that 25-35 year olds cling to when they listened to Blue Album. They're NOT going to replicate it. Get over it.

(PS: Despite some killer singles, Blue wasn't really even that great to begin with)

I do believe we've agreed on this many times before... and it still stands. Fuck ABBA.

Rumours and Jar of Flies are ridiculously good albums though, so I also can't say I dislike the other two.

I certainly wouldn't say it. Pinkerton is a nostalgia-classic for me. I can even kick the lyrics to El Scorcho off the top of the dome!
