Already got my tickets. Its about time the gods of metal return here. I saw them down in Seattle for the summer sanitarium tour, and holy shit there were amazing, they had more intensity then when I saw them in 91'.
Although it seems trendy to hate metallica these days, this show will sell-out soo fast. See you in the pit. |

I used to be the biggest Metallica fan. all until they made the fucking new album. 'St. Anger' is the shittiest album they've had.
Before, I loved their samples. They had sweet tunes. Garage Inc was the shit. Then enter sandman with Black album. That was awsome too. Even the S&M album was wicked. But now, St Anger is fucking "modern rock" just like blink 182 and shits like em... Kirk H. (their guitarist) is like the top 10 guitar playaz in da world, and he doesn't even play in most of the modern songs. And Im sure as hell not gonna go to the concert to hear James Hetfield sing. The band just blows now... Classic Metallica was the shit tho. They can't do that again... I love their bob seager cover of "turn the page"' S. |

Personally the pre-Black era more then anything. And Justice For All... is my favourite CD.
I agree that St. Anger isn't really that great but for fuck's sake at least they're still trying and they're still going. IMO It's more them trying to get back to their roots and do a record that resembled Kill 'em All... cept they've changed a lot since then. They started back when they were 17 and now they're all middle aged with families and shit I mean over that expanse of time of course you're going to change as is your musical style. Or maybe God forbid they wanted to try something new. Garage Inc, S&M, Black, Kill 'em All... they're all very different and that's what I've found them as a band doing. Trying out new things... seeing what works, what doesn't... and not getting pigeon holed. They're the pioneers of metal and just about every song on every cd (Black and early) has been a great success/amazing hit. Where the hell do you think "Blink 182" and all the other modern day bands came from?? |
