Swayzak Soundsystem, Brun and Roger 23, met by chance in Saarbrucken Germany in 1998 at Roger's record store. Since their chance meeting, the two have played at some of Europe's biggest clubs including Fabric in London; Pressure in Glasgow; Watergate in Berlin; and Babylon in Istanbul.

Playing Fabric's room three for up to 8 hours at a time, they are more than experienced at getting a dance floor moving. When the duo play, you can expect anything from minimal house to bizarre 80's obscura via Detroit techno, electro, and heavy dub. They are never shy to throw in an old italo classic or of course the human league. Discerning with their taste in music, it is a back to back, ping pong dj set, each record a challenge to the other! Designed to lay pressure on the dancefloor and reminiscent of old jamacian soundsystems , chaos can be the order!

Currently, Roger 23 releases through Swayzak's 240 volts, Voltmusik and Germany's Playhouse records. Brun, one half of Swayzak, releases thru K7, and runs the label Voltmusik. The pair have just released their first studio collaboration "Old Man Sorrow" on voltmusik (vmk006).


Just ask anyone who has seen these guys play, and they will tell you that they put on a KILLER performance! And this will be no exception. This show is part of their current world tour as the "Swayzak Soundsystem". If you want to be in attendance, plan ahead because we smell a sold out show :-)

What do Patrick Swayze and Swayzak have in common?

Well, they both produced a hit called "Dirty Dancing", and Swayzak used Patrick's name as a pun.

But Swayzak are waaaaaaay cooler. And word has it that the Swayzak Soundsystem are playing at SiGNAL this Saturday (Jun. 30)!

Limited advance $18 tickets at Zulu, Scratch, Boomtown, Beat Street and Vinyl. Oh, and also from Vancouver male Online - intimate . But not for long!

I can't believe people on here are not going crazy about this show. These guys are legends and their music is amazing! We have sold most of the pre-sales for this show, and if you are unsure or on the fence, I HIGHLY suggest you change your mind and get down for this. It does not get much better than this musically :-)

Some tickets are still left in stores and online, Don't miss out on this, cause you will regret it later... and I will say "I told you so". SiGNAL has been super packed lately, but with the addition of these guys this Saturday, I can see a line up forming much earlier on... so get there early to avoid disappointment!
