Bobby Lee, a native of San Diego, CA, was expected to follow in his father's footsteps, running the family clothing store. After stints in a local rock band and at the local community college, he was spotted by Frank Burns, the legendary manager of La Jolla's Comedy Store. In 1995, Pauly Shore spotted Lee on stage and asked the young comedian to open for him in Las Vegas. It was at that point that Lee met Shore's mother, the celebrated owner of the Comedy Store, Mitzi Shore. Lee who is still a regular at the club, has also gone on the road with the Hispanic comic Carlos Mencia (Mind of Mencia featured on Comedy Central), Lee has appeared in over 20 national commercials, and has performed stand-up on numerous shows including “The Tonight Show,” "Late Friday," and "Premium Blend.” In summer 2004, he also appeared in the big screen comedy “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.” Most notably, Lee is known from his over 6 seasons on Fox’s MADtv where he has appeared as characters such as The Blind Kung-Fu Master, Kim Jong-Il, Bae Sung and has spoofed virtually any/every Asian oriented film. Since 2000, Paul has appeared in many comedy competitions and festivals, including Montreal's Just For Laughs. His "Comedy Now" special airs regularly on The Comedy Network. He is a regular voice on the hit CBC Radio series, The Debaters, and forms half of the comedy sketch duo, Bucket. And your host for the evening... JEFFREY YU - www.myspace.com/jefferyyu Jeffery Yu started stand-up comedy in 2003 by winning Vancouver’s funniest comic with a day job contest. non assigned seating?
What does that mean? That there is a chance that you and your partner might not be able to sit beside eachother? or that anybody can sit wherever they want? meaning you'll probably have a bunch of general admission tickets sitting at the front row? |
