A) Too much money to bring BOTH of them out for a single club show. You'd be complaining about the ticket prices.
B) In order to give them a PROPER four hour set they would have to start at 10pm to 2am, which is just stupid to have them start so early. C) There's plenty of people under 19 who want to see them just as badly as the rest of us. |

I should have tickets some time this week. I'm in the south West side of Vancouver, Kerrisdale/Marpole/Shaughnessy/UBC area. Feel free to PM me to enquire. Thanks. Tristan |

If Vancouver had a better venue, we would host them there.
Venues available and large enough to amortize the cost of a ticket for these two are impossible to find. Allya has already mentioned some other good reasons. Of course you're entitled to bitch about you want, but know that when it comes down to venues, Twisted and other promoters like it use the venues that it has available. So... stop bitching about the venue (as it's out of our hands) and if you support the artists and the music, then come out and support the event. |

Sooo.. unless someone can find a venue, and then convince Richmond or Vancouver to certify it, and hopefully have the venue in an easily accessible spot, we're all SOL. |

Twisted Productions is a legal business with an active business license in both the City of Richmond and Vancouver. That said we can only and do only throw legal events. Legal events meaning fully permitted and therefore city approved -- to get this approval you have to submit an application for every show including setup details, security plan, fire/police plan, etc. The venue itself has to also be authorized as a space that is legal - IE: correct number of fire exits, etc.
Make sense? |

Been supporting twisted since the beginning so i think im obliged to bitch about this gay ass venue... I'm saying it would be nice to have them at a better location why not river side? its not like martime is PRIME or something..... |

I'm pretty sure the problem with Richmond is that they've been known to say "we can't police the event" at the last minute. Look at what happened with Simple 9 last year; Twisted got screwed on that.
I'm pretty sure Richmond is very lacking in the police right now. Even the one event that has happened recently (AvB) there was very little cops there. I seen maybe 2 uniformed cops, and I don't think I seen any undercovers. You usually see 10+ uniformed, and lots of undercovers at most shows. |

I actually heard that Riverside doesn't allow raves anymore, but I could be wrong though.
Afterall we're just too spoiled. Considering the very few venues we have available, MLC isn't bad at all. You should only bitch when you have multiple choices, not when you're down to a few or a couple. Therefore, at this point MLC actually rocks my fucking socks!!!!!! Just imagine if one day we lose MLC as well... then you'll realize how much you actually like it. LISA & ANNE!?!?!? I'd definitly be DOWN if I'm not out of TOWN!!!!!! :cheesy: |

MLC is a great venue...
Easy to get to by bus...no more than a $25.00 cab ride for most places in Vancouver (even out to UBC)...perfect attendance cap, even tho the area is a bit sketchy outside, I've only had one person approach me the last few years. I always feel safe inside knowing that there is enough policing, so that people who are there to legitimately party can have a fun time, and those who are there for other reasons, are dealt accordingly. I would imagine as this city grows, there will be more venues established that promoters will have access to. In the meantime, lets have fun with the venue(s) which we do have. :) |
