Red October, TONIGHT @ SONAR
TAG & Red Army are proud to announce: RED OCTOBER Friday, October 6th, 2006 @ Sonar Room One: Ollie Plé www.OlliePle.ca , PrimeCollectiveDjs, Swing Kids,Intamite Prod and SmokeOne Productions  Since starting in 99 Ollie has made great leaps and bounds in the DJ world, he has played along side such greats as, Olav Basoski, Krafty Kuts, DJ Swamp, DJ Rap, Mac Zimms, Racheal Auburn and many more. Ollie is holding residency's at Lotus & Balthazar. He also held down a residency at Club Viva for 1 year and has appeared a few times on MTV. Ollie has recently taken the next logical step in his DJ career and has started Producing and Remixing. He has just finished his mix of "Latro" under his alias "Foreign Ministers" and is currently building his portfolio. Ollie has played at 100+ events and plays at Clubs weekly. With his passion and love for the music this is only the beginning for Ollie Plé. Lazy Rich UK, Explicit Entertainment, PLAY, Groove-On, playdjs  Lazy Rich is originally from the UK and has been DJing for 5 years, during which time he has played alongside the likes of Deepgroove, The Beginnerz, D.Ramirez, Mark Night and The Trophy Twins. Although he has only been DJing in Vancouver since July 2006, Rich has already built a name for himself with his appearances at Plaza and Club 686 alongside Alex Paris, Woodhead, Craig Alan, DJ Eris, Miss Marz, Rhiannon and the Housebroken Records DJs. Lazy Rich has a very unique quick mixing style, always concentrating on big tunes rather than filler. Rich's sets are packed full of ridiculous amounts of dirty bass, sick electro riffs and just the right amount of funk. His influences include DJ Flex, Steve Angello, Richard Grey, Olav Basoski, Antoine Clamaran, Sucker DJs, Deepgroove and Sebastian Ingrosso. Amanda Rude USB (United States of Bassline), FlyDjs, http://www.flydjs.biz www.usb.undergroundvinyl.com,  Although she is petite in stature, Amanda should not be underestimated as she crashes upon the Vancouver scene. She has torn up the BC interior nightlife; spreading the UK Garage fever amongst HigherGround, Liquidbeat, Spacedub, SmokeOne and FlyDjs events, including many more. Today, Amanda's record collection is unique and envied by many. It is filled with quality Speed Garage cuts (new, old, and rare), dark "4 by 4" garage, melodic UK garage, and that bouncy & raw 2 Step style. The Rude One is proud to go out and show everyone what the world of Garage is all about by slapping bass-in-your-face with crazy antics! MaciekCD Release ABSTRAKT  Matt has developed his passion for music at early age. His first influence was listening to sounds like 2Unlimited and Real Mcoy back in 1992. He always wanted to share his passion for music with others. And he did. About 2 years ago Matt got himself a pair of decks, headphones and mixer, and has been collecting records ever since. Started spinning for friends, now getting booked around the town. If you want energetic young DJ to wow the crow with nominal ability and a high energy performance, then look no further! Matt brings some of the tastiest speed garage, dirty vocal and electro house. Maxon TAG  Maxon is fairly new to Vancouver scene. He is great dj and has established his dj career pretty quick. Ever since his first booking, he became a resident of TAG productions. Maxon is well known dj in his own community which draws and awesome fun people. He plays very soulful funky house, something I am sure everyone will enjoy. Room Two: Dj G3N3R4L Needlë Clothing  A relative newcomer in the Vancouver scene, Nathan Boudreau (aka Dj G3N3R4L) has already made quite an impact. Starting out on his friend's turntables, he practiced in front of his first crowds at house parties and a couple empty club nights. In his two and a half years behind the decks, and more so in this past year, Dj G3N3R4L has had increasing success, and has had the pleasure of playing with some really great artists in Vancouver as well as in Kelowna. A die-hard breaks lover, Dj G3N3R4L will be throwing down his own flavor of funk filled basslines and heavy tech infused breaks. Make sure not to miss and come grab a copy of his new demo. Average Citizen Silverwaters  Average Citizen has been rocking the decks for years. Over years he played several genres of music such as dnb, house, and electro. This time you're in for a treat as this guy will be dropping some of the freshest breaks and some of the best danceable music riddmis you'll hear on the dancefloor - dancehall!!! Lady AK Silverwaters, ABSTRAKT, 420 Kru, TAG, Rype  Alla's main purpose is to bring quality drum n bass music to dance floors and to steer the mood of the crowd with music she plays. Alla plays many different styles of DnB to create proper atmosphere for the crowd. Her vinyl collection consists of Liquid Funk, Jump Up, and Tech step/Dark DnB. Also, Lady AK is concentrating on production. Her producing interests began after made a track together with AAA called "2 Hands", and now created a stock of her own ideas. She is currently learning the techniques for producing and mastering so she can get her hands on new fresh new sounds. Infidel Silverwaters, Abstrakt A relative newbie to the scene, Infidel has spent the last 4 years working on his skills and building a record collection that represents a variety of drum and bass. Come listen as Infidel starts the night off right by offering something a little different for your musical taste buds.    Tickets: $10 before 11 pm more after... Sonar 66 Water Street Vancouver
