CHASE AND STATUS Friday Oct. 20!!!!
Automatic & C1rca Present in association with Fixed Fridays
CHASE & STATUS (Ram, Bingo, BBK/ UK) feat DJ Status "DUPPY MAN - IN LOVE - EVERYDAY(rmx)" Saul Milton and Will Kennard really do start as they mean to go on. Since the birth of their drum and bass career in 2004, things have been moving extremely rapidly for this duo. Their first release on Renegade Hardware (a remix of Future Cut's 20/20) was followed with big tracks such as Love’s Theme, Iron Fist and Hoodrat on prominent labels such as Bingo, BC Present and Habit. DJ's: Andy C, Mampi Swift, Friction, Zinc, Pendulum, Fabio and Bad Company have shown huge support for their releases which has only been further affirmed by regular radio airplay. Beginning their DJ career just over 9 years ago, Chase & Status have witnessed the constant stylistic changes the industry has been through. Their sets reflect on a wide spectrum of drum&bass, as is shown in their Jan 2005 Studio Mix on DnB Arena, their guest mix on 1Xtra and of course with their live DJ sets. 2005 was a good year for the duo with 'Barbarians', 'Menace' and, 'Glitch' all dropping on Renegade Hardware, 'Loader' on BC Presents, and a remix for Bingo of Mood 2 Swing's 'I Got Love'. THe boys BreakBeat Kaos debut - 'Duppy Man' Ft Capleton was supported by top jock Andy C alongside DJs such as Fresh, Zinc, Kenny Ken, Fabio, Dieselboy, Grooverider, Hype and Shy FX. To date, the boys have dropped some monster releases. ‘The Druids EP' on Bingo, 'The Ten Tonne EP' on Renegade Hardware, the massive 'In Love' Ft Jenna G for her debut artist album and a remix of 'Everyday' for Shy FX all of which have got huge response from the A list DJs as well as Radio 1, 1Xtra and XFM. There is no stopping these boys. Newly signed to Andy C's legendary Ram Records, look for the boys debut album coming soon on Ram. Times are tough trying to get venues in the city to do Thursday or Friday shows. We tried to move this to Atlantis for the original Oct 19th date, but they were booked. Lotus took on a new Thursday as well. Richards was booked.
Though the Met is a dive, we will do our best to improve the sound. Fixed is a good night for DnB, and they've shown a lot of dedication to DnB in Vancouver by hosting a Friday night where DnB is represented. Trust no club in the city is interested in having DnB at their spot on the weekend. I guess we just have to work with what we got. Will be a wicked night that we can 100% guarantee. -s |

As for the sound. We have another sound system that we have used in the past to beef up the sound at Automatic events at Lotus. We'll be bringing that in for the show. Tickets are in the shops now! -s |
