Seriously now... (Doom's Night)
Some people paying $160 for a single night of... well, whatever it is that goes there... faux-ravin', I guess.
Meanwhile, for ten dollars LESS you can get FIVE nights of pure rave. In a FOREST NO LESS!!! With QUADUPLE the acts to see! And a TOTALLY amazing atmosphere. Why ANYONE would even want to go to Doom's at those prices the tix were being sold (and boy were there some pansies) completely baffles me when Shambhala shows how much you SHOULD be able to get in a party for that price. |

I say five. The campgrounds are positively alive with activity on those first two nights. |

I was just disgusted with the police state bullshit, people gettin illegally searched n seized, undercovers comin by our camp askin if we had any "drugs".....uh yeah sure we got drugs, like fuck off. The worst was all the alchohol though. Drunk teens everywhere. 2003 was my fave year every year its gotten worse. You're right about make your own vibe though, cause i did sat night @ the village when Bri played and then Hive, that was fucking sick as fuck. |

i went to dooms night in 2005. and the only thing I really enjoyed about it was Craze and SS.
There was absolutely no vibe, alot of the people were unfriendly and even rude in some cases. The people who were friendly, were ridiculously high on drugs - and when i ran into em later in the night they were zombies. Theres really no comparing an event like shambhala to something like dooms night. |

Seriously now...
Way to post more about shambalah than doomsnight. Seriously?
You guys aren't wrong though. Shambalah is an amazing event but even back in the day it was super cheap. Now it's proven and people are willing to pay and drive out to the interior to experience it. Dooms night might not have been your thing. Especially if you're comparing it to a summer outdoor massive that's been running for almost (or over) 10 years. But Dooms is in the city in a hockey stadium. There's an obvious difference in promoter style. All in all, dooms night was a success. It was sold out. All rooms sounded great. It was everything I expected it to be. |

Is this seriously the thread review on Doomsnight? Anyways, I thought it was dope. Anyone who is complaining about the price: then don't pay it. Obviously that venue would be mad $$$ to rent, insure, etc...
The Breaks room kicked ass. Hirshee & Jeff- yur Afro's were the best. |
