Few djs possess the tools and talent to reach dance music stardom. With her innovative mixing style, production skills, and an easily recognizable look and sound, Dj Miss Lisa has come to embody the epitome of global culture.

She got her start 8 years ago, spinning hip hop and her first gig was playing disco and old school at the renowned Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California. She eventually started playing electronic music, specializing in hard house. In 2005, Miss Lisa returned to her hip hop roots and started amazing her fans at her mega-mixing and party-rocking abilities. She currently lives in San Diego, California, but is rarely at home due to her ever expanding tour schedule. Voted San Diego’s house dj of the year in 2001, being in the top 100 dj’s out of 40,000 on the djist.com in 2004, and being in the top 100 female djs in the world on shejay.com in 2006, Miss Lisa has become a staple on the west coast club circuit. She has toured all over the continental United States, including Hawaii along with Canada, China, Mexico, Guatemala, South Africa, El Salvador, and Singapore. Miss Lisa is currently headlining the famed Hot Import Nights tour for her third year. She can be found rocking the Mazda stage in each city.

Her first production, “Crawling” was an illicit remix of the hard hitting Linkin Park smash, and her second track, a current remix/replay of the Violent Femmes’ classic, “Blister in the Sun” was released on Exodus Recordings and was released on a compilation album entitled “Back to the 80’s” on Topaz Records. “Getup Getdown” an all original hard house track, and “Closer” a house remix of Nine Inch Nails have yet to be released. Miss Lisa just finished her first mash-up featuring Notorius B.I.G. “Hypnotize” vs. Sublime’s “Santeria” earning props from major artists including Dj AM. Miss Lisa’s latest cd, “Guilty Pleasure” will be released later this spring, This is a unique hip hop/ party rock mix and a banging progressive house mix both featured on one disc. Her 2005 “Playboy” mix with Dj Diamond is still available on her website. Her last cd, “Decks and the City” sold out completely in 2005! Some of her other works include “Driving Beats,” a 2 cd compliation mixed by Miss Lisa, Mea, Diamond, and Tatiana on Moonshine/ Kinskysweet Recordings, “For Your Ears Only,” a solo compilation, “Magnetism,” released on Topaz Records, “Causin’ a Commotion,” released on UC/SHR, and her first cd entitled, “Love”.

Miss Lisa is now an international Playboy Playmate featured in an 8 page spread in the May 2005 issue. She has also been featured in FHM Mexico and has graced 3 magazing covers, including Pro Sound in August 2005. She has also been in 3 calendars, with the most recent being Miss October in Sexy Corvettes, and has several trading cards available from the infamous Benchwaremer series. She has also been featured on national Music Choice cable station and XM Satelllite Radio. Miss Lisa was also seen on Mtv’s “My Super Sweet Sixteen,” Spike TV’s “The Club,” and Fox’s “Planet X”. She is also proud to announce her sponorship from Denon Usa and Odyssey. Finally, Miss Lisa just got finished mixing Blauplunkt’s new DVD being released later this year.

During the week, Miss Lisa saves lives, not on a dance floor, but in an ER trauma center as a registered nurse. When she began her career many years ago, little did people know she would come to embody the definition of a true rockstar- sexy, intelligent and impeccable musical taste. No, she keeps her clothes on. She's definitely cute and could probably pull off a semi-nude show but then it might take away from her solid mixing and her productions, which after all are still important regardless of her good looks ;) Also have to give her credit for balancing it all while being an RN, which is difficult enough on its own without being an international DJ.

Looks to be a good show. Lisa always brings it hard and the ravers loved her all old school set last year at Freeze :)

Yah, she was wicked at Freeze last year. She rocked it with an old skool/classic trance set. I was so surprised to hear her drop Cosmic Gate's "Exploration of Space" that a tear rolled down my check when I heard it, lol.
