WHERE: Bar None Night Club in Yaletown -- 19+ venue, 2 pieces of ID required for entry DJ DISCIPLE, NY - Catch 22 Recordings www.djdisciple.com / www.catch22recordings.net To try to categorize Disciple is pointless, such is his diverse talent. Happily surging between dance music genres, in 2005 he was the resident DJ at Redlite (Montreal), On Broadway (Sandiego), Kudeta Lounge (Puerto Rico), and two New York hot spots Pink Elephant and GBH (Lotus). His UK profile is legendary, working in more clubs than any American DJ to ever grace these shores. For the past 12 year Disciple played in at least fifty clubs a year for the last ten years. For the last five years his travels have been documented on www.djdisciple.com. He runs the label Catch 22 recordings (http://www.catch22recordings.com/). The labels first world wide hit was "Put Your Hands Up" By the Black & White Brothers. Success continued with the number one billboard hit "Caught Up" "It's Easy" and "Yes" from Disciple's My True Colors album. D&M, Brooklyn Soul Boys, Banji Boys, Street Preacherz, and Nympho Soundz are Disciple alias with releases licensed to hundreds of compilations. In 2006 “Work It Out” and “Deep Underground” are the latest two records that are creating havoc on dancefloors everywhere. As contributor for magazines I- DJ in England and Big Shot in New York Disciples latest goal is to finish his own book Around The World In 150 Clubs. In 2005 Disciple released his first CD marketed for the Canadian market. The Redlite series showcases the musical style he displays at his Montreal residency. Staying true to his soulful, deep and funky roots his Catch 22 Dance party mix hosts a weekly radio show on the web picked up by: SSradio and Push FM in London, Chicago House Radio, Hot FM in Bulgaria, and Fashion FM in Italy. In 2006 DJ Disciple went back to his deep and soulful roots and does his own monthly party THE NEXT LEVEL in Brooklyn while maintaing Residencies in Manhattan’s Lesouk and Guest House. With the world literally his oyster Disciple is reassuringly grounded as to his future and his role in general in dance music: "For me it’s important to remember that DJing made me what I am and that's always the first for me. I see dance music going through a very big change shortly. It can't stay the way it is and I aim to change with it. You have to. Ultimately it's all music and if you love and understand music, you'll know that its fluid, forever flowing, forever changing. It's wonderful to embrace that and go with the flow but yet always be original, always be yourself."
