To comment on the basement thing: As far as I know, the liquor license down there is food primary, which essentially means no booze unless its fully catered..whereas the upstairs pub and tiki room can be for purely boozin. Im not sure if thats still the case, but thats what the manager told me when I used the waldorf a few months ago.

So...what about monster mash? There was a full bar down there that night and not a scrap of food in sight.

Great times on Friday night... Benny Page was murder, guy was just throwing down tune after tune, even for his mellow style he still was working the crowd. Shy Fx delivers once again, guy killed it harder and nastier than I've ever seen him. The sound in there was airtight... not too overbearring on the highs and the bass was warm and clean. MASSIVE turnout for this one, huge ups to RH & SS, and CG for putting this together, it was well done IMO. Big ups to everyone I saw withing the huge crowd.

^ maybe it has to do with liquor licensing since you can't see the Tiki room from the street like you can the main bar. Makes one wonder this sort of thing.

Like I said, as far as I know....

If there was a full bar downstairs w/o food then the promoter likely either had their own special occasion liquor license and served their own booze, or the waldorf has since had their licence changed to booze primary for the basement.. Im just going by what I was told when I originally wanted to use the basement for a party I threw.. thats all!

But even so, were the cops not in the building? Wouldn't they have seen the second room?

Plus, if the Waldorf is lying about their liquor licensing youd think the second bar woulda been closed too. Not just the first one. I uno, aren't places pretty anal about that, risking losing licenses and shit?

^ Im still not sure about that, cause thinking back now, Monster Mash went all the way to the end without a hassle and they had all 6 bars going. It could have just been the in's & outs and the number of people outside instigated the cops coming in. Would that be a breech in a liquor licence?

I had an awesome time!! Thanks to Steve and crew for having me out to play again, and thanks to everyone who busted out in the smaller room to close the place out, it was a blast!

I handed out a bunch of cds througout the night, if anyone else wants one just send me a pm and I'll try to get you a copy.

Over all one of the best events of the year by far!

i was one of the few people not bitching in the bouncers faces. i was supprised by how rude most of those people were. i tried the 2 doors i knew of. oh well. the night was great despite:)
