First off, thanks to all the boys (and girl) of pound for a relatively fun evening. Cleanup sucked, but I was glad I could help. The ride home was the best part. Haze starts going in the opposite direction of our house while telling me and james to "not worry about it" so after a lot of bitching from James he finally spills there was a road block. Now with 4 drunk ppl and 1200 dollars of alcahol in the back I want to thank Haze for being smart....for once :silly:.... <3 you guys! hope to see you all soon. |

Merry Christmas!!!
Big thanks to everyone who came out at such a late date. Easily the worst part for me: Unloading 40 flats of beer from the back of a pickup parked on Pigeon Park corner at Christmas. At this time of year everyone down there is praying for a Christmas miracle. I felt like a UN aid-worker offloading grain in Somalia. Within seconds of Haze stopping there were 10-15 people gathered around the truck. Haze, Luke & I were seriously outnumbered and outgunned. I had to stand on the beer and fend off a few guys who were seeking "freebies" with my feet. We recruited two guys to help us fend off the others and offered to pay them in beer. Noble, I know. . . Easily the best part for me: The vibe. Looking around this dope space and seeing everyone in the room dancing. Sure, the place wasn't packed, but even when you put 80 people in a room like The InterUrban it's enough to get the vibe going. I loved how even the people standing around talking were dancing. People came to party like rock stars and they weren't going to be denied just because lots of other people were too busy, broke or tired. I like it when everyone at the party knows how to have a good time and can just get loose with the crowd. Huge respect to all the DJ's too. Like I said, dancing. . . And to OJ for saving the day because a certain sound company (who shall remain nameless as long as they refund my money) rented me a speaker that didn't turn on. Here's to a great 2007! Sean |
