lookin forward to the next one!!! good to see alota reconizable faces that i havent seen for a while\!!! also cool to meet a few fnk'ers!!anyways guys hope ya had a blast and once again props to the swift krew for such a wicked show. and shannon....im figuring out a way to get to amsterdam in april....ill figure away.... |

Spent the early part of the night getting seriously blazed with friends at a homies crib. My intention was to hit up the Swift NY after I played at the PNE, so I could unwind with some friendly faces. Tried to go out for midnight shenanigans, but was really too stoned to be much good at navigation. Ended up at some house party right at midnight, although I did meet some hotties, so it wasn't a total loss. Got my ass to the PNE for my set by like 1 am. My boy from Cali forgets something in my car, and then str8 locks the keys in the car (with the dome light on no less)!! Ok, so he's from the woods, plus that canadian herb is hardcore. I say fuck it, I gotta DJ in an hour, we'll deal with this after the set. OK, my set at the PNE was great.... except for a brief fifteen minute chunk when I was hit in the dome by a falling monitor speaker. I don't really know why it fell over, it looked pretty stable to me? Definitely taught me a lesson tho... those fuckers are heavy! OK, so I won't bore you guys with the rest of the story, but needless to say, after dealing with playing the last hour of my set in somewhat of a daze (not from the herb anymore lol), I then had to deal with finding a damn tow truck to unlock my ride. That took several more hours due to the NYE madness, and by that time, sorry, but I was definitely feeling the sanctuary of the hotel. So I'm sorry I didn't make it, especially to you myles and jeremy who came all the way to Vic to see me play. I owe you guys one. The moral of this '07 eve might be: Overcome obstacles and still totally kick ass, but it's probably: the rave scene is trying to kill me!!!!! Happy 2007 motherfuckers!!! shit i havent been that drunk since high school.. thanks to chris and any others that helped carry me to the taxi, lol my girl could not have done it herself!
and thanks for the support, hopefully well have better cd facilities next time, much more freshness to come! and i ll try to stay concious for the whole thing next time! pace |
