Benny Benassi @ Plush
Benny is fucking awesome! Wicked DJ, just amazing!
However, the lineup at Plush was BUNK! Fucking pigs were there and wouldn't let ppl in b/c of oversell capacity - MSH is definately at fault. Made ticketholders wait in line for over an hour, WTF! Aside from the lineup, the show was excellent. However, MSH should really take care of this problem in the future. |

I don't understand why they would sell tickets and not make sure there was enough capacity for ticket holders for an event. Especially like this. If you have a 500 person capacity and have sold 300 tickets.. only let 200 people pay at the door until at least midnight. A "sold out" sign never hurt anybody. I thought that's the whole point of presales.

I thought this party was dope, The sound guy said they upgraded alll the sound to the max, best sound hes ever heard at Plush. HAHA Benny has good energy and had a million killer drops. Most of my crew was satisfied hahah security was tight, most people brought goood vibes. I danced on ppls toes and got smiles most of the time. Benny was ready ofr it this time around...

^pretty much
i've never seen plush that packed it was definitly a good show i only had to wait like half an hour out side... so it wasn't THAT bad... but still any wait for a show you have to pay like $40 to get into is retarded... But the thing i really dont understand about plush is why a club that big has the same size coat check as a small club...kinda pisses me off waiting for like an hour to get my coat after the show |

Benassi droped some sick beats...
Yea, the lineup to get in did suck, and so did the coatcheck, but you have to expect that when it's at Plush. I really enjoyed his mixing in of Who's your Daddy, and Love is going to save us, sooo much energy when those hit! |

Granted I saw him in Castlegar but here goes...What a waste of $30. to mix out of a track he would make a loop and decrease the sample time until it was just a stutter, add some filter and then fade in the next track. It was cool once or twice but he must have done it at least 10 or 15 times, it got really discordant a lot of the time too. If he did actually mix it was 8 bars or less. kind of weak. I'm gettting tired of big name dj's who don't actually do anything.

Anytime I heard a "mix" there was only one channel up, like the "mix" was recorded on the cd. I was trainspotting from the balcony. |
