i pretty much enjoyed myself for the majority of the time, however i got very sick of the melodic trance very quickly, the shy bros kept it harder then usual which was nice to see... its sort of sad tho that they went from headliners like eddie halliwel to crappy trance above and beyond in less then a year... good djs or not they dont play music that keeps the people moving.. you can only vibe to a soft melody for so long, you need hard drops to keep up the energy :)

aww. none of that please. =/ i went with her to imf. = )
i can't speak on her behalf, but it was actually MY 3rd "rave." (these vancouver "raves" still don't feel like real actual raves to me though. *shrugs shoulders* ) i know. i know. i know. above & beyond's set was OVERLY predictable. it was melodic; it was "fluffy". it wasn't hardcore; there was no pounding bass line. & i know that because of these factors, the majority of folks on here recon that above & beyond don't "belong" @ a rave, ('cause raves should only have hard shit) rather, a&b should've had their own event @ richards on richards or whatever. however, i am A MASSIVE above & beyond fan. & i was in the VERY front the ENTIRE time dancing & singing my motherfuckin' heart out during their ENTIRE set. i did a bit of exploring. but i really liked the sound comming from the main room, obviously. *pokes my user name* i noticed that steve hill (or whatever the deuce his name is) got the crowd really pumped. hah. i don't mind hard trance in small doses. so, it was pretty good. = ) anyway. props to everyone who did their thing @ imf! :D Last edited by trancedreams; Mar 19, 07 at 08:55 PM. |
