So we didn't turn off the music and kill the whole vibe? BFD. I walked through the party and told people exactly what was going on. If you were there, I would have told you too.

As far as announcing they were still coming after we knew they weren't, gimme a fucking break. We've never so much as cut a corner in 9 years. The troll is referring to the fact that NUDLZ saw Triple D behind the decks doing his damndest to help out Akeel and thought it was Midi getting ready to come on. At that time I was outside dealing with the agent at the border and quickly realizing that they weren't going to make it. As soon as I got inside, I spread the word. How the hell else do you think everyone found out?

I made the decision not to shut the party down and announce the no-show over the mic because it was a good fucking party and I knew that most of the people there wouldn't care. I also didn't want to take the chance that one or two fuckheads would make a scene and ruin it for everyone else by starting shit in a crowded space full of nice people and expensive stuff. As far as refunds go, there wasn't going to be one anyways. It's not like we have the cash to cover it and unfortunately, we still had to pay for everything.

Simply put, we aren't busting our asses for people who treat the scene like a McDonald's. Our record speaks for itself. We will take care of our peeps as we always have. If a few disingenuous trolls and competing proxies want to take shots, that's fine. We're used to it.

I'm still not sure how I ended up behind the theatre room bar but regardless great tunes and tons of [sweaty] people.

Only FU is to the people that left with my hangers -- who takes their coat from coatcheck and takes the hanger with them?

I still had a good time on Saturday. I was with a gang of friends which most definately helped. I had a bad feeling when it got past 12 and I didn't see guy from the Autobots or Midi. Akeel played some dope breaks, as did Emannuel Ferrera sp? and Filthy Fingers. There have been a few no shows and cancelled shows over the last year or so, and I am kinda getting used to it lol. Anyways, it woulda been really tight if Jez and Midi made it, but they didn't. Hopefully they will be back soon. Good thing a couple of my friends from Alberta didn't make it down :Q

Ya - I think the problem may have been that guys were running the coat check at the end of night. damn boys...

Oh well - they're plastic and replaceable and it forced me to purge my closet.

i think you guys handled it fine - i haven't had one call to the shop from a ticket holder wondering how to get a refund. that's rare for a no-show.

it's not a smear campaign - rob's defensive about his show, terence has too much spare time cause he hurt his knee, and i hate rave breaks. capiche?

Alright, fuck. I really hate all this beef. I realize it's more imagined than factual. Too many assholes in a confined space I guess. And yes, I know I'm one of the biggest of them all next to you.

Can we please go back to c. 1999-2006?
