That was some serious bomb after bomb. I have been to Caprice on several occasions but never seen it (or many clubs in town) jacked like that. Any given time from 12-3am 90% of the place on the floor giving it. The front floor around the booth was intense, the claustrophobic need not attend. You would be lucky to get a hand in the air it was so dense with people, all rocking out.
As for the tunes, electro over synth super rockers. I heard everything from classic redo's (wild thing) to hot up new hits. A selection of Basement Jaxx, Daft punk, loads and LOADS of A-Trak (did these guys not play his entire new cd?). Renegade master, groove armada, Dj Funk, diiiity diiity. Whatever Ed Banger came back from Miami with was some destructive music, each more eminence then the last. That was something to remember. Awesome. As far as Vancouver goes, Ed Banger was one of the better ive been so lucky to attend. |

Just got back from the show - and by show I meant HOLY FUCKING SHIT SHOW!!!
This was an amazing night... definitely one to remember. The Ed Banger guys did not disappoint one bit! OK, now onto a review: It was my first time at Caprice nightclub and after seeing the club for the first time, I can say I was very impressed by how everything was set up there. The second thing that impressed me was their sound system - very loud, deep, bassy, and pretty clear. The first two DJs who played were not that good but they warmed up the crowd with lesser pounding tracks before the boys from Ed Banger would step up... As soon as the Ed Banger boys stepped up - the dancefloor filled up quickly and the show began. Justice, DJ Mehdi, Busy B, and SebastiAn were throwing down rippin' electro/glitch tracks all night, including a lot of remixes of popular songs. Their set was SO tight, that you could barely spot even the slightest mistake in it. I was so amazed as to how fast Justice and SebastiAn beatmatched their tracks. All in all, I will definitely remember this event and if these guys ever come back again - I'll get more of my friends to come. Solid night: 9/10 Shouts to my boys and girls and one special shout to Cameron, and Eliza. -fw |

well all I can say is that for the people who didn't go to this event..... Yeah your regretting it.... your never going to experience ANYTHING better for a long long time then last niight acts. Even with your tickets to your daft punk show.... I don't think that that show will be able to match the peformance of last night. The guys from Ed Banger absolutely tore it up last night. The fact that this was a tag set that involved all of them made it all unique and the track selection was stellar there mixing is just unbelievable. I mean christ they dropped Wildchild - Renegade Master and right after that Prodigy - Smack my bitch up...... even heard some c+c music factory.... I can go on and on about the other tracks that they played. There crowd interaction is something that you don't see every day. It was pretty much "up close and personal" with them... I was watching them the whole time above on the second level the whole time with my jaw dropped to the floor the whole time.
So if your someone who had the chance to attend last nights event but decided not to go, again lets just say your NEVER going to experience anything with what happened last night. |

scenesters are like the people who are trying too hard to be hipsters. also (my biggest gripe), scenesters are too focused on how 'cool' they look while thrashing around, that they rave all over your fucking feet and don't even notice it. |
