last night was probably the strangest party I've ever been to
This little thing called Electronic Injection in Campbell River. Woo-eee, what a strange night. All these small town kids...and then some guy went and gave out 40 hits of acid, so basically the entire party except me was tripping like crazy all night. People are like, "hey, what's this music?" *jessica slaps her forehead* "It's jungle!!!" It was by far the quietest party I've ever seen, no cheering for the DJ, nothing....silence...everybody tripping...and the Blair Witch/Bare Bitch what the hell?! I wasn't even high and it was a head trip.

hahaha.
yeah, ryan (hugmeguy)'s told me quite a bit about CR parties. funny little scene they have up there. been to any cortez gatherings yet? i've always wanted to hit up one of them and do all kinds of hippy things. btw, you living in CR still? island represent! Pdot in form. |

It was ... bizarre.
And yes, inkster, I'm living in Campbell River for the summer. I showed up all by myself and everybody was really friendly...but *pssst*they're not like normal ravers*pssst*:) joking... It wasn't BAD or anything, just different. I mean, when was the last time I saw a nitrous tank at a party?! And nobody really danced...now that I'm thinking about it, I can't put my finger on it, it was just a different vibe. I saw like 10 shooting stars. That was cool. |

Inkster: it all depends on how you look at it: there were turntables and electronic music, hippies and raver-type people, raver-type drug use (K, E, nitrous), a few people dancing, it was illegal, had an infoline, was out in the woods.....sounds as close to a rave as anything is these days. Do people have to be noisy to make an event a rave?

That party SUCKED!!!!!!! that party just goes to show that u have to put more then 3 weeks into planning a party! Jessica dont worry not all CR parties are like that, FINAL DEPATURE will be much MUCH better. everyone at electronic injection were the raver wannabes! i tried dancing but i couldnt dance on the fucking rockes! and who ever built that fire was a flamming idiot because they built it right in the middle of the venue! i took off around 3 because i was ready to kill all the bar stars!!!! hope to see u at depature jessica.

uhh... some of the best parties i've ever been to have been thrown in just mere hours.
actually, i often find that the more planned things are, the more boring they end up. there's no chaos. no excitement. no mystery as to what'll happen. no rave. how dull. ask oddmud or narc sometime about ill voodoo. or ask anyone who was there. they'll probably say the same thing that i did here. |

yeah thats true but when u live in a small town like CR, u have to plan well ahead of time, or else no one will know about the party and no one will show up! i dont know.......... i hate CR the whole town is fucked! but hopefully the next party will be better, but it wont take much to throw a better party than the last one

I would have to agree. i felt i was the only person not fucked up, i drank six beers and wasnt buzzin cuz i was sketchin about the people and i thought someone stole my phone(which later a guy found on the highway and sent back to me by mail} the only good thing that happened to me on the weekend). easily the weirdest vibe ive been in for a long long long time, very odd.
No to mention that i had about 2 or 3 people dancing for my 2 hour set (which some people did appreciate amidst the vibe). i came all the way from van to play jugnle here, i thought it wass gonna be a pretty descnet sized party , boy was i wrong. but hey all in all i guess i cant complain, it was an intresting evening nevertheless, and i had fun during my set, i think i may have scared some people into the bushes,lol. But next time i take a ferry out there i hope its for a larger party with NO acid. peace |

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who found it a very...strange night. Poor Phatt Tony, most of the party didn't even know what jungle was...and then some silly girl kept harassing you...:) |

lol. cool thank you soo much for lettin me use your phone. naw nobody was buggin me, it was good when i talked to someone cuz i barely talked to anyone, and i didnt know anoyone except i knew 1 or 2 people kinda.

I was referring to myself. I talked to you a couple times, then some bitch told me to stop bugging you. That's why I was jokin about that....I didn't know anybody either. There were 2 people I had met once briefly, and that was it...I had shown up fully by myself...
lol @ us Vancouverites all lost and spooked amidst the island wierdos on acid. By the way, you got me hooked on that J Spot (It's Love) Jill Scott remix. After the party I was singing it...had no idea what it was...and stumbled upon the mp3 by chance. :) Nice One. |
