fridays are pretty damn good. thursdays could be good if there weren't so many "cool" people talkin shit all the time. find a new hobby.

Well I don't know what to say here,,, I posted a mainly Hardhouse line-up for last thursday,,, It was the shittiest turn-out I've had thus far...\\ Obviously,,, people didn't give 2 shits about who was playign so no more HH and look for something new real soon. HALLOWEEN

"Thursdays could of be good if people actually came." I mean I've seen on average, more people in my living room than there was in the club last Thursday. It was bumpin'! |

jeezus. you guys must uderstand by now that you can rant all you want about me and my views. post your silly little pics, do what you will but the fact still remains that instead of being constructive, you bitch, criticize or complain. the scene doesn't need ya. i guess being relatively new to it, you don't know what it was like before the whiners got involved. i'm not trying to pick a fight or get into some dumb ass squable with ya. just trying to get the point across that, maybe next time you'll offer some helpfull suggestions instead of criticizing or even adding not so positive comments about someones efforts. nothing more.

when danny and I took this night over, we didnt expect a huge turnout at first, suprizingly our first few nights went really well, then we had to take a week off because the night was pre booked for a private event b4 we got the club night, that hurt us a bit, our night has consitantly gone up against big productions such as sasha and adam freeland , and on top of that its alot of work to get a club night goin, as far as im concerned, viva is a nice location, its just plauged by ignorant ppl who talk so much shit about the venue , ill be the first to say that last week was shitty , mabey it was the lineup, mabey it was the lack of promotion on my part, mabey a bit of both, all i know is last week was the worst its been for us since danny and i took over, so we will revamp, take it as a learning exp. and move on, we already have a few things lined up for the future, we have teamed up with twisted for a spookie after party on halloween night, and are working towards bringing in some headliners to the club each month , whateva, i get a kick outa the challenge of running this night.........

So commenting on how many people there, in a review for an event, is not allowed?
Seriously. I heard it's a good night. I'm sure he puts a lot of work into it. But regardless, that's what we saw that night. An empty club. If I'm not old skool enough to comment on how many people I saw at a club on a thursday night. Then I'm extremely sorry, and will never be negative again. |

as someone who is also working at a clubnight on a thursday, i have to give this team props for keeping the night together

The fact that we have to try and get people to trek all the way out to Richmond doesn't make things easier. I guess I need to concentrate on promoting my night better at the local restaurants and malls/shops,,, etc... Hope to see some of ya guys out this week. peace! like i said. by you commenting how few people were there doesn't help. your comments aren't going to make people get up and say "hey let's go check it out" quite the opposite. you may not think things like that hurt promotions but they do. i never meant to be a dick with my original post. i just get frustrated when i see people trying so hard. these days, we need to focus on positive things if we want this to last and possibly get back to how it was.

It was well run, and I have heard that in the past that it had a large number of people. I will go back.
Maybe I said it in another board, but I understand that thursday (in richmond for god sakes) is a tough sell. Limited transit. Far from most. Danny, you should defently try promoting it more in the local area. Try having flyers in the local net cafe's/arcades. They seem to have a lot of 19+ people looking for something to do. |
