Slinky
My 2:00AM arrival was most enjoyable as several of my friends greeted me as I walked in :). The trance stage was bumping and the other rooms were doing ok. Aside from some sound glitches and some lower end lighting on the main stage the trance stage was the place to be. I watched a lot of John Kellys set and then ventured into the house room to get my groove on. Scott Audio and friends had a good stage and a thumping line-up. I bumped into quite of few people of the site and made some new friends with a couple people of the site:kimmie:. I'll post more later and I'm sure you'll see a few other reviews as more people come online.
Cheers from the FK posse :sweatin: |

ok i'll give a review of john kellys set
first i'll start off with a big OH MY GOD!!! he started off housey and threw on accapellas like crazy! when he threw on that martin luther king jr accapella...... wow... that just got his set GOING! then hed throw on catchy but cheesy vocals on the breaks, then when the beat kicked in, it would be hard and rollin.... good contrast! the power apparanltly went off on the decks which i sorta think was a setup but that was cool. then he threw on the CZR tease which worked SO damn well but the mixing wasnt 100% tite but i'm sure no one noticed =p then he slowly progressed into trance by throwing on system f - snakebite i beleive is the name of the track... then i had to bounce! hehe but thats my review of what i saw of john kelly AMAZING dj. and it takes alot for me to give someone that much credit :keebler: |

The party wasn't bad but I thought it could have been much better based on the hype.
Not a lot of people at this party, I'd say 1000-1200 at 2am and I never seen the main room dwindle down to under 500 before 6am. Major cutbacks in sound and lighting in the main room IMO and I got to meet DJ CD who was spinning in the theatre room all night. The house room had the best vibe for most of the party. John Kelly was good, I enjoyed his track selection and different mixing style. Great to party with all the F&K crew who were out in full force this time. See you all at Spooky 7. |
