These promoters SUCK! they JACKED us for our cash, they put us in a crack whore hotel in the ghetto, we had to find our own way to the party, there was 15 people at the party, the sound system was tiny with no bass. What the FUCK is your problem? STEVE and Paul are the worst promoters in canada! STEVE didn't even have the BALLS to comfront us about the ordeal. Yeah Happy FUCK'N new year to you too ASSHOLES! We waited for 2 hours at your party for you to get back and you pussed out you little BITCH! i'll break your nose again for you! whatever.......=/

yah, no doubt, My friends and I made up half of that 15 people at the party. What a fucking ripoff. How were we the only suckers in town to buy tix for that party? It was supposed to be wicked. We ended up at Rinse which rocked but it definitely put us in shitty mood and kinda killed nye.

Well my guess is that from the beginaing he wanted the party to be big and hype like the ones I've heard about in Ottawa
Well I guess he just couldn't adjust and break into the Vancouver scene...its a very tough market So in one way I respect him for still coming through with the party, still having ALL his headliners show up....from New York to Seattle to Victoria However he should've just swollowed his pride and cancelled the party when he knew nobody was coming so the headliners can find other places to spin Thats what I would've done, especially on New Years AGROout |

yeah...this is sorta suprising...we show up to the checkpoint at 4 am and no one was there....
i certainly know that the flyer certainly didnt help........yikers..but the line-up was really good...them new york boys can totally rock the party!!sick dj skills for sure..... |

I saw two of them spin (the first two djs to play) and they were both kinda lame. One spun hard house/breaks and the other really boring hard breaks. They were all amped to drop their new original tracks off a discman - the tracks sucked. I dunno, maybe I was just in a shitty mood 'cause we were the only ones there. the scratching was good though. I did feel bad for them, flying to van with their posse to play for an empty room with shitty christmas lights behind them.

don't feel too bad...i think they were coming out here anyway to snowboard and stuff...they play at all of wcld/ecld parties cause i believe they are good friends of the promoters...
i gaurantee they never came all the way from nyc just to spin at this party.. |

hey nitsuj, i feel bad for you man. i had a bad feeling too, i was supposed to play from 11-midnight, i showed up 20 min early and the gates were padlocked and no sound at all and nobody there. we waited in the freezing cold for a bit, with no sign of anyone we decided to leave. as we were leaving, some sketchy looking ravers were jumping the fence... finally they called me just as i arrived at another party and told me they were "ready" for me. haha. like i was coming back.

Shit, me and the gear did not get picked up till 7pm,,, it was to be at 4pm. I have not been paided yet my self.
The second room was running by then. Hell my system the louder of the two was not even used that night... The other system I still owe $200 for the rent of it. Sorry about the bass(second room),,, I had it up but cause the decks where not on a good enough table there was lots of feed back. And cause no one was in the room, I did not want to fight with it. shitty shitty shitty |
