Lucky Charms 2

You go to a party in Seattle, and its not a "party". It's a fucking RAVE.

First off, the venue, Club Fever, was amazing. Apparently it has a bad rep down in Seattle, but that place is just so fucking cool. We don't have anything like that here: three rooms, each a decent size, and the capacity of the place is about 700-1000 ppl. The setup was great: lasers in every room, tons of lighting and a LOUD system (almost too loud :soak:). It was a little warm in there but that was expected considering how packed it was. It was nice and cool upstairs, if you could resist the urge to 'drive a nail into your skull' as dave so nicely put it :silly:

The first big difference down there is the people. CANDY KIDS EVERYWHERE!!! It was so nice to see. Plurry, cuddly, colourful kids with their glitter and glowsticks made up more than half the crowd.

THE WASHROOMS ARE RESPECTED. Wow. Clean. All night long.
Enough said.

Seattle most definitely has a different taste in music than Vancouver. They like it really hard there. So hard that it makes me want to shoot myself... but hey, to each their own.

Main room:
Not sure who was playing when we got there (either Aaron Simpson finishing off his set, or Irish just getting started), but we heard lots of familiar tracks.. Nukleuz green whut? :hehe:

Vinylgroover rocked it, even though I don't like hardhouse, I actually enjoyed his set.

Cinto, tough crowd eh? But you got them moving, and jumping and screaming by the end when you layed down that Nirvana remix. Holy Shit. That was a beautiful moment :D

Side room:
I had fun dancing to Lil Mz Booty's set. That girl has so much fun when she plays, you can really tell that she loves being up there behind the decks. It makes the music even that much better when you see how into it the dj is.

After that was Zachariah vs Rob Noble. I know these guys are some good dnb dj's. And I wish I could have enjoyed their set. But there was something going on that prevented that from happening..... BAD MC'S. Like really really fucking bad. "he's the DJ, I'm the MC, hear the bassline, hear the bassline, hear the bassline!....." I was shocked and appauled that not only were these two allowed on the mic, but that the crowed seemed to ENJOY their unintelligent, undecipherable ramblings into the mic.

Upstairs room:
There were cages.
And it was a nice refuge from the heat that was downstairs.
But my ears were bleeding after about 5 minutes.

The party ended at 5am which was a change from Vancouver's normal 7-8am closing time. I don't know what would have happened if the party kept going on longer though, the people there were looking sketchy enough as it was, so it was good that it ended when it did.

Sandra and Jaymz, what can I say? You guys are the best. Thanks so much for having us over.
Christine, Chris and Dave: good times on the way down there, and at the party. hey dave you forgot to pass out toonies. lol. next time we HAVE to get krispy kreme donuts OK.
Eric, your set was so bloody good.. its too bad ppl weren't feeling it at first but you fixed that!
James Steele, you're crazy. lol. good time dancin with u!
Euro, nice seeing you! Hope saturday with sammy went off.
Courtney, where did you go? I saw you that one time in passing. ah well im sure we'll see you soon enough :)
Mike, hey are you that mojo guy? hehe. good to put a face to the name. glad u had a good time.
Mirage.. sorry i forget your real name. lol. nice meeting you too though.
Brent and Dave, nice chillin with u guys in the mornin

well, you pretty much wrapped it up:P

killer party though, i like the fact that their were smiling faces all over the place, and people actually seemed pleased to know i was canadian.
the night started going well when some dude at a bus stop bought beer for me n my buddy.....first person i asked too:)

i liked the fact that it ended at 5, it gave me plenty of time to get home in the morning.

like the last 2 lovetribe parties, it was good times all around from what i heard, so good job Victor.....looking forward to the next.

it was a peasure to meet you to Michelle:P

soo much fun.. I didn't care that only half the main room was dancing at the beginin.. they just needed to catch their air after Irish and Vinylgroover whom both brought the house down.. they even got me movin..but once i layed it into some house and speed garage they got up.. then when i hit em with GO BANG... i had control of the crowd again! but for a closing track NIRVANA ... it was just so amazing to see every single person that was there in one room jumpin up and down screaming... the Camera guy came up to me after and said .." the last part of your set was something to remember"... i quote " I have never seen this many people in this room at this time going off so hard to a person's set, not even Donald Glaude" i was like " SHUT UP" whe was like " SERIOUS" i was like" thanks" lol... all in all it was a BLAST! met tonz of cewl people and hang out with good friends!

Booty, layed down some serious sound!

the MCs were WACK SMACK and on CRACK! haha no offense but everyother word was either DnB or PARTY.. but oh well.. too bad tho cause that DnB dj after booty kick some serious ass!

it was just solid all around at the show!

for now! i'm out but hopefully i'l talk to you all soon!

Peace

First off I have to say that lucky charms was dope...
Too bad I had to miss some of eric's set cause I had to get up at 8:00 am,it's good to hear that u ripped shit up... I loved that one track I can't remember the name of it, james told me the name of it too but oh well (it was the third or 4th track u layed down man)...
Dave it was fun goin to ballard and gettin beer at like 2:30 in the mornin and did u use any of the super V lol...
James it was a blast to see u again since Play at the Plaza hope to see u again at the next seattle party or Twisted 2003, and hope u got home safe and in time for work lol...
Eric u layed down some wicked beats while I was there and that is so cool to hear u rocked that room...
Miska it was a pleasure seein u for the first and may I add u looked phenominal that nite for real gurl u junglehead lol...
Zak my boy from platinum records rocked that room...
Lil Ms Booty man she had so much fun spinning and man is she ever cute when she smiles now that is one good gurl dj lol what a sweetheart...
Bazooka Joe rocked man I wasn't into his music that much is it maybe cause I don't really listen to hard house, but just the way he mixed man he was throwin down so many records and cutting out the trax at like half and just the way he scratches to hard house... Now that is one person I would pay to go watch again he's fuckin insane...
Dj Irish rocked too man with his uplifting hard trance I was like there for most of his set...
One guy fuckin pissed me off man I don't kno if neone of u guys saw him but he was that old guy that kept on bumpin into everyone and bein real annoyin like teeth grinding annoyin I was pissed off but since it was a party and everyone was having fun I just didn't say nething to him and let him be an idiot hoping someone else would knock him out or something, I was just scared he was gonna hit the tables when he was jumping in the front for cinto's set... So many hotties there man I was like drooling the whole time :284:
Just can't wait till the next time and I ain't gonna be sober either lol

Thanks Cinto for rocking it proper and I hope you enjoyed your official Seattle debut! That Nirvana moment was beautiful, almost brought tears to my eyes when you see so much synergy of energy like that right before closing.

DJ Eris, thanks for the cd...i'll be listening to it very soon.

Brent, it was good seeing you and I hope you're happy that I booked Cinto! (Brent's been mentioning that I should book Cinto for at least half a year ever since I met him at IMIX 3!)

Dave, glad you can debut some very talented Seattle djs like Aaron Simpson and AJ Spider up in Canada.

Darren, it was good seeing you and thanks for the CD!

Thanks again for all your support,

Victor

lmao. Yeah, Im sick of (seattles) MCs ruining djs sets for me.
Even if they're 'throwing down' I end up leaving the room becos the idiot on the mic sounds like garbage. Its sad really.

M!SKA did give a damn thorough review.

Im kicking myself for missing Cintos set, but I was spent when the clock struck 4am.
I would have loved to hear some SpeedGarage too =(
But, Im making a point to catch your set the very next time Im up in Vancouver Eric. No excuses!

Too bad I think most of the Vancouver peeps missed the opening set in the back(side) room, DigitalMafia was impressive.
Wheelzs set was as fresh as it always is.
Victor got as much Love as he always does. It filled up so fast as soon as he got behind the decks. Every single kid in that room had a grin from ear to ear, it was great.

M!SKA :: I was all over the place until just after 4, damnit, that always happens. We HAVE TO kickit next time Im up there or your down here. Aight?
DAVE(AGRO) :: Dude I never saw you aain after you went out to get your drink on, guess I should have listened to you and followed, FUCK. Call me! I dont have your number.
CHRISTINE :: only got to see you for a second, but Im glad I ran in to you. Thanks for the cd, I really dig it. =)

VICTOR :: Props:Props:Props! Congratulations yo! Im truely astonished at how much youve achieved since last years LuckyCharms. I cant believe youve done so much and are standing where you are with Seattle in ONLY One year! Thanks for all your dedication and hard work. MaddLove<3

Pleased to see that everyone had a good time at the party, thanks to all of you in Vancouver that made it down to Celebrate the Anniversary with us. =)
See you at Twisteds Annual this year.
Til' then -
Courtney

I thought that was a pretty good party. SICK venue, a lil too much bangin NRG and HH but i dealt with it and had fun with it. change is good once in a while. I reallllly wanted some house to dance to, but there weas none of it to be found. Cinto's Speed Garage was the closest I could get. Being on after a HARD ass set from Vinylgroover was tough but you pulle dit off man. Post those pics from when u finished off with Nirvana. That was dope.

Jaymz & Sandra - You guys are soooooo dope. I'm lost for words.
AGRO Dave - You're a hoot. U can come on a road trip anytime with me!!
Christine - U were actually wawake the drive back up *gasp* good thing too cz i was tired as fuck

Miska - Always a pleasure raving it up. We sooo needed liqour though. Next time we won't forget to hit up the corner store before goin to the party.

Eric - DRINK YOUR DAMN PORT WINE!!! doobies and vids. bring it anytime!!!

Brent - Have you figured out how stupid the average person is yet??

David - You actually get home, or did your buddy drop you off at some random ravers house somewhere and pick u up on sunday.
lol

I know i met a bunch of you US ravers, but i dunno if any of you were on here or not. There's tons more to remember but i'm at work and this review has wasted enough time as it is.
