My own Twisted Review
ok screw this im sorry but there is no way that i am going to spend like 2 hours reading about 110 review about the party. Alot of that thread was whored up by like 3 people. No offence but i think people (all fnk) should keep the review to just the review not shouts out or other stuff like that... but thats just my opinion
ok here goes first off i thought that the stage set up was very nice in many ways. The hight from it i hear made all the people look like little raving ants. Though i didnt get to see this for myself. Im afraid of heights. I saw that it was also very wobbly and many this affected some of the Dj's technique or their performace but not really sure. Mabye making it a bit more stable would have helped out a few of them. I also think that instead of the BIG~ blank area from under the stage that they could have done some F*KING Killer VISUALS!!. Put some screen up and get some jazz on there!!! Dunno why they didnt think that. or even just have something going in the background from behind of the stage (by the glass) When i was going off at the front there was very little to look at other then the ravers going off. Lazers, a movie or just somthing to stare at would have made this stage set up 10 times better. The other stages were set up to adverage but i liked were they had the theather room stage this time. Sure it may havnt had been more room to go off to that booty shaking house but you gotta admit that it was due for a change. Ok the lazers and the rest of the visuals seen around the party were good but nothing to really get my jupming outta my pants. I saw from crazy lazers in the main room but saw the same patterns and other designs after about 50 min. Just another Masterplan job. Not saying bad or awsome, just going to say it was adverage. Time for the DJS( btw i was in the main room for 90+% of the night so thats who i'll be reviewing) GregC was throwing down some killer tracks. From Strong as a Nation to many more. I gotta say that if he was able to get his set on a demo cd that it would easily replace anything that he has out there. His mixing and track selection was the best that i have ever seen him. I've seen him spin for about 2 years now and really noticed the progression of his work. I think that he was a bit nervous from the heights but then again i think everyone was a little freaked from being that high on THAT stage :kam: Azim's and Tazix (Davids) set were just great as well. From ATB - Its a Fine day to other well known tracks that just get you off your ass and dance these two put on a great show. I dont know if they werte doing a tag team set or mabye even a battle but to me from the ground it looked like they were both tryin there hardest to put on the best show that they could. They had the whole place in the early morning going off. Gotta say that takes alot of work. These two never seem to disipoint me from the songs that they choose. Armin Van Buuren- gotta say that this was a big dis. It was a slap in the face to hear this guy come from spinning on the 17th laying down set after set of good stuff from all around the world, all the wype around this guy was nuts. I heard soo many things from people that he was jet lagged and needed his own needles. But thats fine to me. I just couldnt stand this guy laying out some really weak and poor tracks. Sure its not to say play classic songs but at least play stuff that gets people going. I gotta say that though the first 3-4 songs werent even mixed to the other times that i have heard this guy play. And yeah i got like 14 sets from this guy playing around the world. I heard it picking up near the end but overall this guy was a big let down. I got my own theory about what he could have done or whatever but thats fine. PM if you wanna know. A. Simpson. This guy also has put out around the world with countless sets over the years. I thought that Armin B. and him were going to rip down the house with there mixing skills. I found him to be more enjoyable then armin and had a great time with him. He knew when to turn down the bass so that the crowd could actually hear the words of the music. Alots of the dj's jsut raped the mixers and turned it up to the point of being usless. I know its hardhouse version or whatever but dont say you cant turn it down jsut alittle and still have the same if not better reception on the speakers. It was a good show by him. i cant wait until this guy comes back out. BTW if anyone wants this "New" cd hahaha from him i got it like 2 weeks ago PM me if you want it or other sets. I think im going to post the rest later. The vibe of this party was great for the first half. after 4:20 most the people got stoned and were soo tired that they didnt talk much or mabye their high was going down but i really noticed the change around 5am. Its not ususally as bad at other paties but i guess that mabye it was just in my mind. Alot less cnady kids i thought then usual parties but i think that mabye alot of them arnt really going out and mabye the scene is changing. but thats another post Overall it was a great impovement from the last "twisted" parties in the past and think that 2004 will be even better. Cant wait for the "breath" headliner... :kam: Shhh i dont know who it is peace all for now im tired *PLUR :c-tard: |
