at first it was kinda crappy, there were only between 5-10 people there until about 1am, and no one was dancing or anything, just vegging out on the sofas and playing chess, then it starting picking up a bit as more peeps arrived and things got going a bit more.. although it coulda still used more people out there, it was a good party..

I agree with everyones comments so far... the setup was tight, it just needed more people.

The cool thing though was that what people that were there, Adam and I got them up and dancing! (We subed for Precise who couldn't make it.)

THe setup was probably one of (if not the best) I've seen in there. I really liked where the main stage was setup... made it a lot easier to control who was going into the VIP area.

The ghetto room looked great... I can hoenstly say putting that fence up I was a lil sketchy about it but with some handcrafted duck tape rope it think it held up pretty good =)

The music was great... line-up dope (although I think Rohan shoulda played early... just my personal opinion tho) and it had great fucking potential. Kinda sucks that there just weren't enough people.

SOrry for cvrashin around 2-3 and leaving at 5... I was beat!!

FYI Kraig... yes I AM in my office right now working... I told you I had a lot to do this weekend ;)

I thought the set-up was great! Best i've seen that venue look for a party ever. The sound was big enough in both rooms but the e.q'ing was kinda wonky so SPK fixed the main room and i did the 2nd one. Sounded loud and clear after that.

Qzen played a really good set, lots of unreleased tunes, hard but still vocal and funky. She looked like she was having a good time singing along with the tracks and dancing. She rocked...but only because we have the same glasses. :kam:

Who else did i catch?......Illesha did a good job of following up after Qzen....played some harder tracks but used her vocals over the top which sounded cool. Good interaction with the crowd too.

Then Psidream in the 2nd room. Mixing back and forth between a cd-deck and a turntable, at least every 2nd track was either one of his own or something that won't be released for months. A forthcoming track on Violence Recordings by Gridlok was one of the standout tracks, for me at least.

Then back to the main room for my set. I played after Illesha, who had brought the vibe down to a fairly chilled level after starting off quite hard. I thought my set went down pretty well, got some more people out and dancing with some funky/hard tracks. Got a few cheers from the crowd during some mixes too. And just like last weekend 'Sidewinder' by Photek got everyone off the couches. Then Kraig stepped up to dish out the funky breaks......it was about 5.30am then and my brain fell out my ear......so I thought it would be best to go sleep.

Much respect to Brett and crew for getting me down, it was a blast.

wish i coulda stayed longer looked like it was gonna be a good time.

ended up not being able to fix the eqing in the 2nd room during my set... the bassbins turned off and the distortion was pretty bad.... plus those fader eqs are an adventure.. haha that was a disaster. the mixing and the levels were just not working for me last night.. hahaha oh well sorry to disapoint. i had a dope time though couldnt let that ruin my good mood that night =)

the setup was dope in both rooms, but yeah woulda been cool to see more peeps out. seemed like it was picking up when i left.... but yeah good job guys you did a dope job

I only showed up at the very end, but I totally have to give props to this crew. It was so organized, it seemed like everything went smoothly. You guys kept the place clean, which I find very cool. So yeah, I think I'm sorry I missed the rest of the party, next time I'll be there for sure.
Jovi, I'm glad to have seen you again, I hope there'll be more runins with you in the future. And I'm sorry again Rohan for having missed your set. Damn. Oh well, I know I'll be seeing tons of you inthe future.
So, umm, yeah, keep up the good work and stuff.

I swear what must have happened was somewhere along the way somebody used some sort of Jedi mind shit on me and made the drawer blend into the rest of the box - there's really no other explanation.

All the djs, you guys/gals rocked and thanks again to kraig/adam for the mornin tunes, all the peeps who helped set up you rock (I still hate pink), and of course to all the people that came out and had a good time. Believe me, no one would have been happier to see more people out than me - hopefully next time more people will realize that we're for real and are nothing but interested in showin you the best time we can.

As per the sound, in the second room the equipment rented didn't mesh that well with my PA so it was kind of a bitch to get right. Main room: unfortunately my usual sound guy was workin all day friday so I had to set up all the sound along with all the other shit so by the time I was finished I simply forgot to set the eqs.... my bad - but to be honest I didn't really notice any difference after it was fixed, and I thought it sounded fine before but of course I was half asleep at that point.

Thanks again to everyone, we REALLY appreciate the positive feedback - it really is one of the main things keepin us going... and we really want to keep going. Make sure you check out our outdoor summer series, info to come... once we figure it out that is. And oh yah, I'm assuming by bret's posts that distinctive breaks is the name of our night comin up at Tribeca (starting Friday May 16) so make sure you hit that up as well.

i had a good time, qzen rocked, rohan looked tired when he stepped up after me but i'm sure he kept it going (i had to bow out and go to sleep). sadly, i missed jeff's set but i'm sure he was awesome as always.

did anyone else think there was too much lighting? i felt a little bit like i was in a high school dance lighting-wise, it was too bright...
