The Freestylers
And you people call yourself Breaks freaks?!? -- Where the hell was everyone last night?!?
Good times last night... sweet-ass tunes... heard a couple of tracks/remixes that were new. I can't believe they played that Bionic Man Nu-Skool Breaks remix I had like 6 months ago! Adam borrowed it from me and played it at Fusion Dreams even... I am a bit hungover this morning... thank-God the night ended when it did though because I was starting to act like an ass! Shouts to da crew I was with - Omega Adam, Hirshee, Precise... even saw AGRODave! Peace. |

Werd to the beats!!! I dont know where all these suppossed breaks fans were either? FREESTYLERS ARE BREAKS! You guys need to come out and show support if you want promoters to bring out the big names or else what the hells the point??
I had quite a good time last night = ) And Kraig, I know I already told you this but damn hommie, you were F**KING HILARIOUS LAST NIGHT :finger: |

Seeing that the last time they were here I was so intoxicated that I don't remember ANY of it, I'm really glad I went. I don't think I've flailed that hard in a long time, especially considering that i was super tired and planned on NOT going, and was actually in bed at 10.
I managed to only spend $5 too which is awesome! More money for tribeca on Saturday! As for the tracks played, I didn't mind that i knew almost all of them... it kinda added to the atmosphere that it was the LAST lime... a little bit of older stuff brings back some memories! |

Where were all the so called breaks fans the first time around?? The Whistler show was bonkers!! Anyway I saw them here and in whis and it's a little too soon for another show for me...that and 6:00am wake up for work and low fundage. Still would ahve liked to go tho but honestly if it wasn't packed and the tunes and mixing were anything like the first time out then I probably didn't miss much.

[...... tunes and mixing were anything like the first time out then I probably didn't miss much. [/b][/quote]
The tunes were relatively the same as the last time they were here.... they're not the best mixers, but new tunes were thrown down.... I recall hearing the new mix of "No Replica" done by Aquasky vs Master Blaster (will be out soon on Super Charged Heavy Weight Breaks 2).... also Skool Of Thought's bootleg of Groove Armada's " Superstylin"..... small turn out (?).... where were all the breaks heads! Anyways.... much respect to the Lime crew Czech, Groove Burglar, and Nolan. These boys helped shape the club scene in this city over the last few years and did a good job in doing so. |

^^ Yeah Krafty dropped that Groove Armada remix when he was here for Twisted 2003 Soda... I first heard it in the car ride on the way from from the airport on CDR and my jaw hit the floor!
Ahhhh I can't wait for some of the stuff that the entire Against the Grain and Supercharged teams are producing! |

All in all a good night, it would have been nice if we had more supporters of the Vancouver breaks scene. I don't really understand how people could pass on the freestylers????? The music was pretty sick, heard some real bumpin tracks. Music was really similar to Nov. when they last came. I'm glad i went, even though the next morning being at work at 7am was a little rough.

^ Yeah the Super Charged/ Against The Grain camp is rollin' right now.... seems everyone of their releases have been hits.... just to let you know, I'm going to be working for them in October... I'm moving to the UK for a year or so to help out at Super Charged/ Against The Grain, as well as working on distribution for my label TwentyHz.... so yeah I'm stoked! |

well, a few things added up to the small turnout
-shitty terrible weather -they were just here in november, and really werent extremely impressive -thursday + $17 never helps.... anyway, they played some good tracks.....for a while everyone was dancing...it was a fun night. LIME r.i.p...but i'm sure those boys have something up their sleeves |
