Phewf..thought i was gonna miss them cuz i had to leave early...weren't they supposed to go up with the sour kids... i personally thought the party was kinda cheesy..horrible beat matches by the sourkids..and what seemed to be a problem with an unsteady platform or somethin...i dunno...i didn't really see to many people jus goin off..it was ok though...i didn't pop so that's good..quite a few phat tunes that really got me goin... the second smaller room had some sic shit bein played in their but too bad it was the smokin room with chairs that took up half the room and then the rest jammed with people... ah vell..nite nite... corrie |

I don't wanna come off too harsh and I hope this explains everything... :027: Problem/Gripe #1) Generally if you book someone to play your party you at least call them and discuss how things are gonna go. Example:Time slots,stage,location etc. I was totally left in the dark about this party...I relied on a friend of mine who did his job just fine it was the lack of communication that fizzled this gig.Rule #1The promoter should always be in touch with the DJ’s...no matter what :027: Problem/Gripe #2) Situation"Ok so your headliners showed up a little late cause you never called him or emailed them"...Make some arrangements and get the headliners playing Lateness is not the end of the world...Juggle the timeslots and figure something out..Rule #2 never bump your headliners because they are tardy.This just demonstrates your inability to deal with stress. :027: Problem/Gripe #3) Your headliners are nice enough to drop a 1/2 hour set for free...Rule #3...at least thank them Kevin and I got to this party sooooo stoked to play...only to find out we were bumped.... hmmmmm....
well, i was REALLY pissed that the promoters and such didnt do much to get F+K up there on the decks! i know ALOT of people that went there specifically to see you guys spin, and i was dissapointed that you couldnt go off during peak hours of the party...but on the other hand ATLEAST you got to play at the end there...(and what was up with the folks in the bare feet with no shirts on...they looked like they were straight out of the movie fear and loathing in las vegas...) but i must say that i am never dissapointed when i hear the Phat Beats you guys drop...what is that track again...jumpin...Lex...fill me in on how to find it! but overall i had a purdy dope time... seritonin...you kick ass man!! and to all the other F+Kers...always a pleasure to be partyin with ya...peace~

This is what WE think...
Well, like F&K, we too had no clue of how the setup was gonna be like and shit like that....but, it's also super hard to keep a beat match when u have 5 kids dancing inches away from an unstable platform constantly running into it; trying to keep balanced on a teetering speaker (almost falling off TWICE); and, having to change tables halfway through our set doesnt help out either.
From our perspective, the promoter(s) should provide the necessary equipment that'll aid DJ's in a great performance [without having to ask them/us if we brought slipmats]. Like come on, slipmats "ok leme just pull em out of my @ss", geez. Oh well, you try mixing under those conductions. And I'm sure a lot of Dj's have/will. PS: F&K, we were totally stoked about playing with you guys but shit happens. Most People dont know "EXACTLY" what happened at stigmata, i give total props to epoch for everything they did for stigmata.......there may have been some confusion about dj line up but that could have all been cleared up with a simple conformation phone call from either side so its really not anyones fault. Kimmie, the whole prayer thing was not supposed to work out like that, something screwed up w/ the track that was supposed to come on RIGHT AFTER he said the word prayer........ Dizzy D did a good job of trying to pump up the crowd after all the little mishaps..... Peter ...Good set =o), I totally feel for the sour kids, they tried their hardest to keep things going after all the lil probs. good job guys. I think everyone should find out ALL the facts before putting down djs and promoters. Remember, we dont want to turn this into LX, and whether you choose to be superstitious or not, this was Friday the 13th...... once again, props to epoch.
