Scratch Tour
Holy fuck, what can I say about this?
First off, I can't remember the last time I was this entertained. Jazzy Jay kicked it off... The man is a legend, he laid down some serious old school beats. Funk, Hip-Hop, he was a great choice to get the crowd moving. Not only did he lay down some great tracks, but it was easy to see why this man is a turntable legend. Next up Q-Bert.... Technically a fucking mastermind, he did stuff with a record that most can only dream about. I don't think I've ever seen someones hands move as fast as his. Which leads us to the Executioners... Four words... Roc "MUTHA FUCKIN" Raida...nuff said. Then the man Z-Trip... I've never seen someone get a crowd moving like this man did. He educated, he entertained, he TORE THE FUCKING ROOF OFF. The man is a ROCKSTAR. He threw down, Rage Against the Machine mixed with Michael Jackson, Buju Banton mixed with ACDC, and even had time for some Janes Addiction. If you didn't make it out to this, you missed out. I would have paid triple what I did to see this show. OVERALL AN AMAZING NIGHT!!!! |

^^
No doubt. Paying $30 for this show was an absolute bargain. I definitely have to say that this was the best live show that I have ever been to, hands down. Man, Q-bert can move his hands SO fucking fast. I was standing right up front and it was a real trip to watch him. It was funny cause he kept on making cute goofy faces. Talked to him after the show and got his autograph...and Roc Raida's while I was at it. Z-trip was insane...played SO many awesome tracks. He was on the decks for quite a while too which was great. The Buju/ACDC really blew my mind. Danced throughout the entire night, right from the beginning. Awesome to see so many faces. Shouts to Myra, Travis (couldn't find you guys after, but got home and DRUNK Esi told me over MSN that you guys split a cab so I'm glad that you got home), Esi, Mateo, Baby Nat, AgroDave, Lawrie, Adam (so awesome to finally see you again! it's been a couple years prolly by now), Kraig (nice to finally meet you!) - same with Glenda, Middle Mike, and Wigglesworth...if I forgot anyone, sorry! It was the biggest trip...I saw this guy that I met at the Ben Harper/Jack Johnson concert. We met cause we were partying harder than anybody else in T-Bird. lol. I turned around at The Cave, and low and behold, he was standing right behind me rockin' it up w/ me. Total trip. Ahhhh I have to go to school in the morning and work. Bed time. LEGENDARY NIGHT. |

WHOLLY SHIT! I agree with the posts thus far that this was the best $30 I have EVER spent on a show.
I was TOTALLY impressed with The X-ecutioners... MAD table skillz for sure. Z-Trip is simply amazing... track after track... the mans cuts are soooo smooth. Wicked energy behind the decks. When he went mad with those original 45's! --- Sooooooo good. Literally played an entire set of just 45's for a bit. I had a smile on my face the ENTIRE night. I can't believe this place wasn't packed wall to wall to see this kind of show! Peace. |

I am really just going to review ZTRIP b/c he is why I trecked it down there with a Broke ass. The man is amazing. When I think hard about it its hard to come up with words to describe.
His energy seemed to be a reflection of ours and I don't think I have had as much energy as I did then. At times I had so much energy I was wondering why the crowd wasnt as responsive as I was during some tracks drops. Highlight # 1 Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit - That really hit the spot. I felt like i was at a nirvana concert there were so many people going off. |

jazzy jay, mans a legend. signed my cd. love it.
q bert was being qbert. i wish he would've got dressed up in a costume and rip it like he did in his diy video, but oh well. x ecutioners were great. I loved it when they lined up on 1 sets of decks and did mini beat juggles in rotation. I must say i was impressed with z trip that night. I've heard him once live before, and ive probably 10 of his live sets on mp3, but last night was special. that 45 set was iller then santa clause. AND THE ENCORE! erin almost cried :kam: "all we are is dust in the wind...." z was the best dj there. he can cut, scratch, and has the best record selection out of probably anybody. fuck tiesto...z's the man. there's a reason why he was the only dj playing at the sars relief concert in toronto with 100's of thousands of people. |

Heh...it almost feels pointless to post here now and pretty much repeat everything everyone else has said.
The show was OUT OF CONTROL. Jazzy, Qbert, the Xecutioners and Ztrip all made my night...or my life. :c-tard: I don't know if I've ever been that HAPPY at any show before!?! Huge thank yous to Specturm for making Vancouver the Scratch tour's only Canadian date. |

I think the phrase that I was saying over and over again was "Oh My FUCKING GOD!" and "What the Fuck!"
That was the sickest show I've ever heard and seen. Q-bert is the shiet. I dont even know how else to describe it and Z-trip... FUCK... like woah! He laid down some sick sick beats. I was going off! I dont think I've ever gone off like that in my life. What a wicked time... thanks, babe for bringing me out. Good times for sure! |
