that set was awesome, there is one particular track that I want to find the name of that he spun. Rabbit in the moon also spun it at kiss last year and has male vocals, no really singing though more of a dark chant. Wish I could remember the vocals though :)

really mixed crowd, which was rad. the floor was pretty hot most of the time, exept for a few lulls, and a few messups by steve.

The track with the vocals you are talking about is
Ralph Falcon & Oscar G - Darkbeat aka Murk - Darkbeat. The bootleg that Lawler played last night was Oscar's own mashup Oscar G - Dark Kiss. It was featured in Lawler's emix and Seb Fontaine also played it when he was at Sonar. Overall, Lawler played some really nice tracks. Top tune of the night for me was Mark Knight w/ Martin Ven Telden - Acid Test. The track he intro'd with was pretty good also. The club setup was kind of strange and felt a bit too cluttered. Dancefloor had a claustrophobic vibe to it. The cameras and the crowd being projected on the screens also made it feel a bit like Electric Circus. Sound was decent last night. |
