ESCAPE: Evolve Yacht Party
This party rocked it. My friends and I all had a great time on this four hour cruise. The SSMinow left a little late plus arrived a little early, but that was nothing to complain about. Enough booze managed to make it on board to keep me occupied between dancing and smoking upstairs.
The tunes in the trance room was solid continually, I enjoyed grooving up at the front with some fnk'ers even if only for the first part of the trip. Once the DnB/Jungle in the second room was over (sorry, I mean I do like dnb+jungle it's just I like good dnb+jungle) Mateo stepped up to the plate and dropped it. Best set of the night, I couldn't stop busting to vinyl after vinyl. Good job! The second room placement sorta wamped, with half the room directly behind the trance setup much music bleeding was heard. So only about half of the second room sounded really good. I spend a good portion of my time chillin on the upper deck. Smokin and blazing d00bs with different fnk'ers new/old was great. I had met allot of new people at this Rave, which is cool from the usuals (however missed they were). The two security guys, (Jazz and I forgot) were on the level. We smoked and chatted it up, talked about gettin baked after the trip and whatnot. haha, funny stuff. I didn't understand the concept of $5 salsa+chips.. 7-11 has nacho sause+chips for $3.50 whats to say your Safeway select chips and dip is worth FIVE of my bucks. Even fries are cheaper at the Plaza.. This was a very different crowd then im used to seeing. There were yes (some), young'ins. Little girls who lied to mommy/daddy about staying at Janes house to watch a scary movie. They were not in numbers though. There were these two (im sorry, but its the correct term in such a case) these two fags, wow these guys were crazy gay. Running around with no shirts, I yelled at one on the upper deck "someone get this man a shirt, he is freezing can't you see" I think I scared him there. After I was chatting to the white one about how its great he can get married now, and what his partner thought of that. Again, he walked away. Afterparty was less an afterparty then 25 kids packing into buddies apartment. The walk from Granville Island to up Granville street in small Rave packs was interesting. Good thing I packed my tooke and umbrella. Why was this not an afterparty, haha where was the party?! It was lets sit, chat and wait for the skytrains. I'll tell you about an afterparty.. teehee.. Anyway, yeah great times before/after the party and throughout. The party was a well executed Saturday night by Evolve Entertainment. I would like to thank you boys for having me out, and as always I look forward to your next show. Grade 'A' Rave! |

what an awsome night! the vibe was so great throughout the whole night! i am exremely happy with the turnout and vibe of that yacht party! 110% props to evole! you guys fuckin rock! Mateo had an awsome set and it was crazy outside on the deck. It was so scenic going out where those huge ass tankers are and then comming back to vancouver and being able to see the entire city lit up. I think someone needs to find a big ass boat and have a party up on the top deck.

Escape was awesome. the boat rocked...literally... and the music and people were fuckin awesome. Anitta - Don't worry you're not heavy! It was awesome to party with you again, see you at Insomnia! Wow ok I just woke up. Last night was awsome! I haven't danced that hard or been into a party like that in a long time. I was just really feeling it last night. lol or maybe a bit of the booze too. :toasted: I loved the stage in the back I was going off hard to mateo's set which by the way was awsome.
