Ferry Corsten
8pm - Make my way downtown
8:45 - arrive @ Subeez on Homer and Smithe, soon joined by some tranceaddicts 9:15ish - Ferry arrives, and he has Kid Vicious, Anne Savage AND Lisa Lashes in tow!!!!! He chats with us for a bit, takes some pics, signs stuff, regales us with tales of his various world club experiences, also got a cool pic with Anne 10:20 - Head for Luce's 10:22 to 10:40 - Parking :finger: 10:45 - Arrive at Luce's. Lisa and Anne couldn't get in because they didn't have 2 pieces of ID (manager @ Luce's = dink) but later on I saw them in the VIP lounge so I'm assuming some strings were pulled. I get in just as Kid Vicious hits the decks. It's a nice crowd, fairly good mix. No fucktarded kids, just a bunch of fucktarded adults :p but it was cool. Sound was better since they didn't use the speakers attached to the ceiling. Dance floor was packed though and it was extra small too. Oh well. Ferry hit the decks around 12 I think, and the crowd was just like "FERRY FERRY FERRY!" good times 1:05 - me leave :( have a long day tomorrow, plus my feet were killing me (raving in dress shoes?!) awesome time, wish I could have stayed till the end, but the music was awesome, good flow, good crowd they were so into it. $15 well spent :) |

i liked the music. the djs signed my records and were really cool.
my friends and i all had a great time. grievances: Club=gay dresscode=gay $4.75 water = gay gays=gay fat people took up too much space people who have never been to an event like this need to learn proper protocol first. |

Only other thing I have to ask is this...yes I was there, yes I saw them, yes I had heard (before I saw them) that they were in the club in the VIP lounge...where the heck did that place manage to fit a VIP lounge? Was there a celler or an attic that I was unaware of? And why couldn't Luce, after the girls had left VIP, used the VIP lounge as the large smelly person with little or no consideration lounge? OK, ok, aside from these fun little remarks, it was a really great show. It was awesome seeing such world class talent in such a small environment, and with other, equally great talents in their own right dancing right next to me. Other things I will remember about this night for a long time... - Ferry Corsten himsef - every time I looked at him he seemed to be having the time of his life, its rare that DJs look so damn happy and enthusiastic about what they're doing that they've got a big shit-faced grin ontheir face saying "omg, I can't believe people pay me to do this, when I love it so much that I would pay them"! - the crowd, both good in their energy and enthusiasm, and bad, in the lack of room for all of them, etc - The story above about LL & AS and thier lack of ID for its sheer stupidity (regarding the person who made the decision to not let them in...you can't judge a book by its cover, but you can tell if its written for high school dropouts or university grads... - the bouncers...I went for a smoke @ about 2:30 and heard them chatting with some of the Insomnia flyer people...they wanted to go home and were getting annoyed..."when is he gonna play his last song?"..."Dude, I don't know, all his songs are like, 20 minutes"...and then, inside again, when the music had stopped I saw them getting into position to start herding the masses towards the door while the crowd shouted "One more, one more"...moments later, music pouring out the speakers as Ferry obliged the crowd...and then, the look of utter disbelief and astonishment on the faces of the bouncers, who I'm certain were rolling the prospect of another "20 minute song" around in their heads...that alone was worth the price of admission... $15 well spent? Agreed . |

I think the event went off well . Gays are to be expected at luce, stop acting like there aliens. It's downtown. They dont even bother anyone. Also they were not inforcing the dress code people were getting in with jump suits and sweat pants. Beer was cheaper then water nothing wrong with that!

I have to admit it... I had a helluva fun time last night.
Props to Ronald (Kid Vicious) for opening with a Breaks track! Wholly shit did Ferry throw it down. Dude played for 3 hours straight and had the place bumpin the entire time... People yelling, singing, raving... drinking... That place sounded good... the extra sound, lighting and truss was worth it for sure. That was pretty intense having Anne Savage, Lisa Lashes, Ferry Corsten and Kid Vicious all in one venue! It was some good times drinking with them all in the VIP area there. Watching Azim walk around hammered with a 26 of vodka and a pitcher of OJ. -- He is such a follower! Those F&Kers I saw, it was good seeing you all! Booey - always good times drinkin with ya. Cheers. |

I ABSOLUTELY had the best time EVER! Wow...
:c-tard: I can't believe Anne & Lisa were like RIGHT THERE! *haha* Dancing away and what not...I was deff. in awe over that fact! Christine and Lauren send me pix! *hehe* How come it's been ages since Lisa Lashes has played in Vancouver??? I LOVED the setup...I mean you were like just inches away from Ferry in the front! I LOVED the upclose/intimate atmosphere/setting Luce setup had with the DJ! Hope you guy's at Twisted think about the + & -'s of having events @ The Cave compared to Luce and bring out BIG starts out to Luce in the future! One of the BEST night's I've had in a long time...I thought Sat. rocked...This night blew me away! Big props to Twisted for bringing out Anne..Lisa..Ronald and Ferry all in 1 night! Deff. something not forgoten any time soon! :keebler: |

What a night. Had such a blast hanging with the Seans: Aqvayak, DSL Dude, Deeb - why'd you go so early dude? What an event and by far best Tuesday EVER! Props to Lisa, Anne, and Kid for allowing the inpromptu photo op on the dance floor and HUGE props to Ferry for signing 9 records for us, talk about gracious. Ferry was everything he was last year and so much more. The first two hours he played phenomenal epic tracks, the last hour, more tribal/progressive, which was okay cuz my feet were hurting in my dress shoes and I didn't feel too much like jumping up and down anymore. Once again, Vancouver sings a mean Punk accapella. DIGITIAL PUNK Kraig nice to meet you, glad Kid dropped at least one breaks track in there for you. Peter/Ricey, good partying with you man. Its great to see someone so excited about the DJs and no, I don't think Anne and Lisa are lesbian, but you can pretend :p

venue was.... intresting... carpet was bad enufff... but it was sticky carpet.. noen the less
had a fucken blast.... I think the funniest times were when the security guards were thinking that each song in the last hour was the last song and then only to have the beat come back.... the look on some of their faces were priceless.... None the less.... That was awesome. had fun. |

Had a fuckin awesome time. Music was great, crowd was great. Got in about an hour into Kid Vicious started going off; didnt stop until Ferry finished. Feet hurt like hell and my legs feel like jellow from dancing all night in dress shoes. Over all well worth it. Money very well spent.

Good night indeed. Lots of good dj's playing and dancing in the crowd. Place was to small to dance I was bumping shoulders all night. I think I chipped some guys tooth when i hit his bottle flailing. Opps. Ferry is plur imo he is so happy. His smile was infectious. I couldnt keep the smile off my face. Seemed like a cool guy. Wish I wasnt so sick for this though. I had to leave early because my head was pounding. boo erns to being sick. Oh well glad I made it out. low cost for a great night. :y:
I'll post my pics later. lol I think I blinded him with my flash. He said it was ok though hahahaha I guess he is used to it. :p Last edited by Kandyapple; Mar 18, 04 at 08:29 AM. |

I thought ferry set was deadly. So much fun, that guy is a true entertainer. He was loving it. The only thing that pissed me off was the fact the he was getting swarmed by the people in the front. Its one thing to want to get an autograph but at least wait untill after his set rather than asking while he was spinning. Let the guy work. fuck !!! Meeting the tidy hotties was sweet. Got lots of pics hope to upload them soon.

That is exactly what makes a great DJ......I love when they are having so much fun that they look like they want to jump into the crowd and dance with you! Still can't believe I shook the man's hand....what a night! :c-tard: Peter! - it was good to see you again! Keep in touch! Ears are sore and dancing in heels for the first time was interesting.......but worth it! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! :PartEkid: |
