b) cheeky is alive and kickin... you just gotta know where to look (Sat. was a prime example... check out our site for the 411s :-) As one my partner's said "all the great parties won't find you, you gotta find them!" c) Dale: I thought the music had good variety... there was techies stuff, darker stuff, breaky stuff, housey stuff, and live stuff :-) Ok, so no hard stuff, but I think as the people get older, they start to get softer? :-) d) nice package indeed Eeb :-) hehehehe... I think the master got to slap it a few times :-) e) thanks to all for coming out!!!! PLUR! ;-) -f. |

Highlight of the night ...the emotional first embrace of Dale and Dave !! Seriously if I had done E that would have made me blow up from happiness
and a close close second Stevie G handing out baby wipes to the party goers...*roffles* Wanna handi wipe?? SO great to see so many familiar faces - I was transported back to 1999 for a few hours Loriaver, Hug ME Guy, Ebbomega, Inkster, FFA, Spunsugar, Stabby, Doubledown, Grapes, DrbrianOblivion, Stina...seriously I thought I'd see Ishkur at any moment |

Bastard flaked out and was all "I'M NOT GONNA LIKE IT! GIVE ME E! WIPE MY ASS!" and whatnot.
Oh well. He was missed. His loss. I agree with Dale... Music didn't really start picking up much until the last couple of acts. Doesn't mean I didn't have a fucking blast and a half. Crowd made up for what music lacked really. ABASI'S CAMEO APPEARANCE WAS TEH ROx0R!!!!! Cheex0r foreva! And yeah. I have to say one of the beautiful moments was Dale and me trying to make our way through a Rev and deciding we despised the taste. Then we went to go dancing, I lost Dale somewhere around BarStar country and I didn't see him for the rest of the night. I still feel bad about grabbing that girl's ass on the front stage. I totally thought she was someone I knew! Oh well. I figure my ass got grabbed enough that I was allowed some annonymous gropage. It was a karmatic grope. Oh, and if that girl posts here or anybody hears about some creepy guy grabbing some girl's ass, tell her he's sorry and he was really high and totally didn't mean it. |

I only saw farshad once during the night and that was as I was leaving. :40:
I saw so many familiar faces while I was stumbling around like an idiot. that was yay. I'm with dale about some of the music, I wanted to pull my own gong out a couple of times but I was soon distracted by something else so it didn't matter that much. I look forward to all the cheeky fun in the future! |

rawb: I was there! I swear! I think it was my birthday or something?? ;-)
but yeah, I think I was hiding for some of the party... at one point, the fact that pretty much all my friends were all in one place kinda scared me and I went hiding back stage for a bit ;-) I had friends like Eeb and Dale come all the way from the Island, some from other parts of BC, and some from as far away as Seattle and San Fran. Heck, a whole whack of people came out of rave retirement just for this :-) That combined with knowing that the cops were hanging out in the back alley, waiting for an excuse to shut down the party (and thanks to expecting exactly that, we had taken very precaution not to give them that excuse, and they came inside, visited and left with a smile on their face... I guess the vibe in the room was contagious :-), the coat checking going crazy go nuts, the bathroom line up going mad (which was not our fault by the way... the bloody company dropped off less shitters than we had ordered), and a bunch of other little fires added to my alert levels :-) I think it was around 4:30 when everything was finally going smooth and I realized we have 100s of people who are here to party with me and I should go socialize, at which point I found Eeb in the tunnel, telling me he is high, and Glyn and I proceeded to search for alcohol and try and get drunk and party for the last few hours :-) spunsugar: I think you should have come up and gonged which ever DJ it was that sucked :-) We DID have a gong up there after all!!! :-) and we had mini gongs around the room as well... although they were a bit hidden... jingles: can't wait to see you on Fri :-) eeb: we never did layered drinks! I guess that gives us another excuse to get together. I call for an "all night mix and tape session" :-) everyone else: it was really good to see you out and in one place all together! thanks so much for coming everyone... that was truely AWESOME!!!! Marty McFly: this was a semi-private b-day party and was targeted towards friends of the b-day people (about 10-15 of them) and their extended crew... this party was not targeted towards the masses. Everyone volunteered and helped out, hence the vibe was tops at this party... all the DJs played short sets as tributes to the days gone by. Heck, I did a lot of work and I did not even DJ myself... All the DJs are my friends who I asked to play as a b-day favour. And a lot of them are new DJs (4 of the 10 DJs were fairly new and had not played big gigs, if any, including the McFly that played)... It was all about the vibe, and bringing poeple together... People came to be with their friends (be it friends that were DJing, performing, or just celebrating a b-day or being back in town for the weekend, etc.. ) and heck, almost all the tickets were sold personally by me and crew to our friends who were coming out to be with the rest of their friends, and they were hand delivered... so no one was trying to market this party as "come see big DJ x, or y" and using names to mislead people into coming... there was no need for that.
Apologies to you and to anyone else who may have come to see you and was disappointed (seeing as I know almost 85% of the poeple in the room personally, I don't think there was a high chance of this). It was an honest mistake and not our intention to mislead (ask anyone who attended and knows us). Our McFly had no idea there was another one. His real name is Marty and we call him McFly in our circle... But he knows now, and I believe he is going to be in touch with you and he is picking a new name ;-) after talking to people, I have heard great things about you and your DJing, so peace and much respect and hope to meet you sometime in the future, -f. It wasn't that big a deal to me? But it just felt weird to be wished a happy birthday (:cake:march 22nd:cake:) via emails and to be told by a few people they were coming to the event. Thats how I found out about it. Hey how about Marty McPhLeye? ;) or I battle Mr Spencer and you call the event "2fly" thanks again for the explaination. peas |

Marty: do you live in Van? A battle session would be super fun!! We may do an outdoor version of the party this summer, so let's keep in touch bro. oh, and happy birthday! you should have come! there were about 3 others who had b-days on the 22nd (mine is on the 21st)... wierd, how so many poeple had their b-days all in that period... 9 months before March is June... nothing special happens in June... why were all our parents working on making babies then?
