Trance sucks, but peeps that hate on parties just because they are trance are fucking idiots, and it pisses me off, i dont see u hating on them cuz they like breaks... how come???

I don't hate on breaks and dnb cuz I spin them as well. It pays to be versatile. My last out of town gig I played Funky House. At Fever I played breaks. At home sometimes I play drum & bass. This scene isn't about hating on anybody or anybody's style. Some promoters disagree and believe one form of music to be superior. Trance is considered main room material, for that I'm happy because I love trance the most, but it isn't everybodies favorite in Vancouver so of course it gets hated on. I'm not going to reciprocate and bash other electronic styles because that would be contradictory, cuz I like a variety of styles (even hardcore to some degree).
As to your first point, what's the use of writing back to another promoter? If it were possible, I'd rather not post at all on this page, but there is obviously alot of negativity within the scene right now what with all these shutdowns, so of course there is going to be some tension. As you can see tempers are pretty short and stress levels are pretty high with event promoters. Why waste energy trashing someone else's event? Global or whoever has a right to express their opinion as irrelevant as it may be. If it makes them feel better, then great, maybe they'll shut up having said everything meaningful they had to say. Meanwhile, I'm working on ways to constantly improve our show to avoid the possibility of shutdown that has plagued so many parties this summer. I honestly have neither the time nor energy to rant at anonimous people on the internet anymore. I'm not a fan of making enemies, nor am I a shit starter. I'm far too busy with school, work, and this event to care much what three or four people I've never met have to say about our event.
