i reset my tripometer(sp) at myras and getting there, getting lost and then getting to the party then back to my place which is 5 min from myra's... a wopping total of 310 km!

and next time .. let ppl know that there are TWO bridges that go over the chilliwack river, cause that fucked a lot of ppl over. ryan checked his gps for a chilliwack foley road or whatever it was called.. and didn't find it anywhere. = (

and to top it all off.. one of the guys in my car got mad at me for having the radio on(yes.. my car and i was driving) and called me a fucker and a mistake and a whole bunch of shit and *I* was being irrational.. anyways.. i hope he got home alright cause i sure didn't drive his ass back to vancouver!

oh and a horsefly bite my side and it STILL hurts = (

and you're welcome for everyone that got donuts! sorry i couldn't stay longer!

So... much... driving...

Props to Carrie for bottoming out in that huge dip up on the side of the moutain by the FIRST chilliwack river bridge.

We (Ryan n me) searched all over the place and looked on our navigation software and couldn't find a Foley Road... does this place actually exist? We were gonna give up at 2am to go home n sleep and then we finally found the party at 1.45am... well we found the dirtroad leading to the party... so we didn't get down there for a while.

Once there it looked good... I would've liked to have checked out the second stage but I didn't want to break my ankle stumbling down that path inthe dark sans flashlight.

We were tired n took off around 2.30ish I think.

Thanx for throwing a free party guys but next time try and make your directions a bit more specific... way too much confusion and people getting lost.

P.S. ~ Why the FUCK did you spray paint on the bridges and the parks/camping signs? That's just fucking retarded kids. Next time maybe you should show a little respect and *gasp* make your own signs! Novel concept... I know.

But other than the drive and horrific gas prices.... was there a good party setup? How were the sets? That was a pretty nice lineup for a free party :)

Overall, I just want to mention that it's really cool the guys did a free make-up event. That was a really nice thing to do for everyone. I really respect those guys for that.

Also I guess the girl on the infoline didn't really judge the time correctly cause it was much more than a 15 minute drive up that road!

and btw Galaxie =) .....the party was right near the 4 km marker that was on the trees ;) So yes indeed it was 4km from the begining of that gravel road.
I actually never went the wrong way on the logging roads, except for on my way out. Apparently those KM markers don't actually start at the road, that's what the ladies in the town told me when I asked how to get back out to the highway.

When you think about it, the party wasn't really free.
Didn't they sell tickets and make money off the original party that didn't go off?

IMO, I don't care how "good" a DJ lineup is, it's not worth driving waaaaaaay out to the middle of nowhere for a couple hours of partying. We left Abby at about 12:15 and finally got to the party at 2:30, and we didn't get lost once on the way.

Like Margie and Heather said....RIDICULOUS!! Maybe someone should have given better directions or drawn a better map or something because that was just retarded trying to find the place! Oh ya, and if the road forks maybe have a freaking sign so you know what way to go, and signs along the way so you at least know you are going the right way! Man that was way too much effort put into finding a rave....

Overall it was a good party though. The setup was wicked, sound and music was awsome! Didnt really like the second stage i kept falling in the freaking trench! Anyways good job guys for a free party you guys did a pretty good job:)

Awe sorry to hear,

I've always gone by the saying: "Finding the Party is half the fun".
Getting lost in some "N" driver's beat-up "Le-Car" packed full of smelly, sketchin, fuzzy plurry ravers, listening to a wicked trance tape, visualizing how much fun the party will be. Those are the good times.

*nudge*nudge* But, we sometimes forget there's another side to things.
How did the Dj's get out to the party? They had to drive, just like you, they probably had to fill their tanks before they hit the road, and chances are they probably got lost too. Upon arrival, they may have been cold, cranky, patiently waiting for their set, and then after all this effot..... they had to play for a cranky party kid :( That's no fun. Sucks on both ends. But, we all tough it out for eachother. Just to hear some wicked music somewhere they can crank it reeeeealllly LOUD.

Next time, I wish you a better car ride.
Will you be at Apex?
When you leave for the party, put on some ass-shakin' house music or some happy trance for the ride out there :)

Take care!
and Happy Sunday
:P

I noticed that too and it pissed me off so much. What disrespectful motherfuckers decided to spraypaint over the Chilliwack Forest District signs?
You all should be shot.

So the caravan of us that went to the party know the whole chipmunk creek area pretty well, and even we had the toughest time finding the party.
I liked the location though, good job guys.

The hike to the 2nd stage was so rough! So many ditches and potholes and shit. haha how many people fell?

Miskaness you were there?!? Sheeeeeeiiit... I guess because getting to the second stage was so dangerous, that I didn't see a lot of people because they stayed at the other stage? The second stage was fairly busy though through-out the night... I guess that's why I didn't leave that stage... I didn't want to walk back through that shit!

I did! Multiple times.. :(. And then I sat there yelling for someone with a flashlight to come help me when I realized I was about 30 feet away from the trail.

All in all I had a really great time last night (maybe because I wasn't driving?)

It's kind of fun exploring around all those logging roads when you have 4x4!!

Despite all the bs to get there, I managed to have a pretty good time for awhile. Thanks for everyone who put in effort to make this happen, thanks to Shannon for waiting at the begining of the logging road to tell everyone where to go, and thanks for all the high fives ravers.

I don't know how a horsefly could manage to bite my foot through my sock, but it still hurts really bad today, jerks.

oh and no thanks to the asshole that made me lose my cool, it takes a lot for me to actually get angry at someone, which makes you a very particular asshole. hrmph.

so who wants to go camping?

I'm kinda sorry I missed this party...My little brother (who is NOT a rav0r) was camping up there and said that the "party came to him". Him and his buddies even ended up helping set up the second stage.

Props to whoever gave him and his friends free pot.

Bret: Brandon said it was good to see you and he's sorry that he lost you and didn't smoke a spliffy with you. You should both come over to my place and make up for that. :)
