I had an ok time...kinda bored a lot of it.
Priceless quote: Walking back from 2nd stage just as Kraig started, playing one of his signature tracks, and hearing someone say "Oh man, Kraig already!?!" from like, half a mile away. Now *that* is recognition, folks. :D Heard some pretty good stuff...Soma's AM set was dy-no-mite, Kraig threw down in the morning pretty damn sweet. Otherwise, the party could have been WAY more organized. And I heard a nasty rumor a certain promoter skipped out and didn't pay the sound/lighting guy a single penny, even after he'd forced him to shell out about $1000 in special-order gear for this event. And that was after promises of $1000 up front as soon as they started. NOT cool, folks. |

Okay, the sound/lighting guy is a good friend of mine. And I'm quite sure that the PROMOTERS OF THIS EVENT (do I really need to name that name?) bugged out and not only didn't pay off said sound/lighting company (which isn't Masterplan or anything), as well as some other people. Why name names? I have more balls than you ever will, chump. ;) |

Okay then, this makes a lot more sense.
I didn't think Kelo would pull this sort of thing, and it really saddened me to hear it. However, I feel a LOT better that they posted that. I'll be contacting them myself as well to apologize, and help get to the bottom of all this. Thanks! |

Where to begin? hehe :D
Incredible area in the middle of NOWHERE! hehe Firstly, thanks to the 2 car crew of people that came up with me: Megan, Martin (Sonny Chiba), Ashley, Margaret, and our new Aussie friend Callie ---- you guys are HARDCORE! :D A LONG trip up to Chilliwack, especially coming from Stompin' In Da Woods 2 the night before with not much sleep :p What made the trip even LOOONGER was the mishaps of finding the place and FUN that we experienced in looking for it :D 1) First, finally arriving at around 11pm at the map point in Chilliwack's Safeway's parking lot to get the directions to the event and finding NO ONE there! Calling the infoline once again to get an updated location of the second map point and having to BACKTRACK 25 kilometers (remember we're in Canada ;)) AWAY from Chilliwack! 2) Getting to the second map point at a Castle Fun Park and finding another 5 carloads of ravers and partygoers that were looking for the same information as us! So, after some discussion with our newly found Canadian friends, we convoyed BACK to the Chilliwack exit that we were at originally! Freakin' ridiculously funny! :p 3) Finally finding the primary backroad and running into another at least 15 carloads of ravers and partygoers that were lost as well! So now, we are a caravan of 20+ carloads of people! Note that we are the only two Washington cars and we led mostly the entire way! These Canadians knew that we were going to find this party no matter what if we drove this far! LOL!!! :D 4) These are the funniest things that happen throughout this ordeal of finding the party: stopping in the middle of this two way backroad to discuss directions among all of us and standing there with a beer or two in hand; drunk screaming people; bassbooming filling the clear night sky; a car or two hotboxing it ; some lowriders roughing it over the gravel road; ALL 20+ cars doing a three point turn on this dirt two way road; all cars pulling into, what we thought was the parking area for the event, and waking up these sleepy campers! hehe!!! 5) Finally finding the correct dark, dusty, logging road to the event! When we arrived there, the DnB area was going off! Green lasers, intelligent lights, and fog and bubble machines filled the night sky! Zacharia, the Dowlz, and Rob Noble were laying it down and dirty! The second area was manned by Kraig of Twisted. Cinto opened up with some speed garage and housey breaks. Then, Sonny Chiba, Kraig, and myself did a three way tag team set for almost 3 hours til the morning came up! Beautiful!!! There was a greeen laser in our area as well and it lit up the space above the crowd of people dancing. Soma came on after us but we shortly left therafter for Vancouver. BIG shoutouts to the people who made this trek: to the Seattle DJs: Zacharia, Dowlz, Rob Noble, Ryle, and Sonny Chiba --- you all are the heart and soul of Seattle of this event and from the Canadian feedback, we all represented Seattle very well --- props to all of you! to the Seattle crew: Megan, Margaret, Ashley, Callie, and Samantha --- as always, thanks for the support! :D to the Canadians: there were too many of you that I met and can't remember all your names but you all defintely know how to party and party HARD! and thanks to Kelo for having us come out! til the next one in Canada..... pz out! |

Well, this party sure reminded me off the old days... a lot of people in search for a good time. all in all it was a bomb ass time. I can't wait for the next outdoor show, APEX. great seeing a lot of old faces and new faces. Soulkid, sorry I didn't stay to watch your set, Soccer tourny and I had to find my wallet which I had lost. found it tho... phew. got to open the breaks/house/speed garage stage. two people when I started, to a lot more when I was done. good to see people still do enjoy the Speed Garage. I did have fun tho!

First off anyone complaining about finding the party should shut the fuck up... I personally thought that the whole trying to get up there was well worth the drive and gas money... let alone.. I'm sure you've all been through worse when trying to get to a party... directions/gas/time/whatever always varies with wut party party your goin to.. let alone if it was in the city.. it most likely would have been busted.. so you wouldn't have had a chance to party period!
chet, who didn't you ask if they put out? Bev, it was bloody awsome to see! great to catch up! [I told geoff not to wear sandal, ew] raver train ~ CHOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Shannon and lola! cheers! drunken times! Sarah and Chris~ twas awsome to chill with ya both! ur kewl peeps![yeh, he is a lucky guy ;)] Myra - thanx for makin my night start off well! twas a good party... |
