its like 2:50 and im still awake.
greatest apex ever. SOo many people came to our stage, and we were lucky enough to get Steve helstrip (aka Thrillseekers) to come over from the FNK/Union stage to play a 2 hour set. Really sucks that u lost your speaker power guys. I hope (and im sure) that steve had a good time anyways. That being said, Kudos to Montana and Res. Final Evolve Lineup: Major Josh - Deeb - Harp + Kamal - Bogza - D2J - Thrillseekers - Aqvayak + Detn8r - Luna + Richard Pyra THat wasnt the greatest party ive ever played ( personally) as we had many difficulties, but luckily my bag was crammed with outstanding Vinyl. These are the records i managed to throw down, I hope u liked them. Dumonde - God Music Intro Miss Shiva - Dreams (Paul Glazby Remix) WHOOOPS!! RMB - Redmption 2001 Agnelli and Nelson - Hudson Street Tomcraft - Prosac (New Remix) Vincent Stormfield - Sweet Harmony (Dumonde Remix) Cosmic Gate - The Truth The Quest - C Sharp York - Reachers of Civilization (Rank 1 Remix) Alibi - Eternity (IC Mix) Aria - Dido (Armin Remix) Yahel - Devotion (Armin Remix) Cyclone - Salobre kudos to everone at evolve. That was our best party yet, good job. |

Fuk yah man! What a rocking party! Honestly, best Apex I have attended yet, save for my first one, which of course is always special in and of itself. Having the chance to be involved in it this year was hard work but a great deal of fun. A huge thank you to everyone else at Evolve/Photonic/TAI for coming together at such short notice and putting together a bombass stage. Yes, there were a few technical difficulties at the beginning, ie needle damage, feed back, but by midnight things were running smoothly. A huge thank you to Shawn/Dzl for all your hard work w/ the visuals and lighting/sound setup, we could not have pulled it off w/o you, buddy. All the DJs on our stage, outstanding job, guys. Especially Ben/Bozga, congrats on a very successful debut set! And Thrillseekers, omigod, that was fucking incredible. Like Montana was saying, truly a world class DJ, thank you so much for playing for us. Truly an honor to play along side him. Attila, once again, man, great show, we did it ;) Thank you to everybody who came out and supported our stage and thank you to the massive crowd cheering us on for our sunrise set, I loved every minute of it, thank you all for making it such a memorable event :) Cheers

alright...
so it was a fucking bitch getting there (picking people up) it was a fucking bitch waiting in line (although squirting people with water made that fun) thank gawd i had vip so i didnt have to wait in the line got in...and right away saw matt which was fucking awesome. but the party itself...was...well...lacking... i have to admit...this year funkytown and moneys stages both fucking ROCKED!!! they were sweet but other than that....i dunno...maybe its cause i dont party anymore...maybe its cause i was too tired...i dunno...i had fun...but i didnt have the best night ever...and i probably could have done without it... although i am kinda glad i went...missed pride again this year though cause i just woke up... it was really really good seeing certain people but my fave apex was two years ago... |

i dont think i saw anyone i normally see at partys... oh well!
memorable quotes from the night me: hey ur that dean guy aren't u? dean: yeh ur decypher me: holy shit how'd u know? dean: dude, we've met like 8 times but the best was when this guy was like "i thought with all the girls and guys it was gonna turn into a group thing, but then i realized i didn't know anyone in the tent so i put the tarp over us" haha anyone else got some memorable moments? |

MIDDLE MIKE: I rememeber everything you told me and I'm holding you to it ok! It's fun having you back from Mexico.
Ok sooo......highlights of the night. Smacking every ass I saw in booty shorts. If you are wearing booty shorts it's more or less screaming "Touch My Bum!" Having some guy ask me for E and saying "I only have crack left, would crack be ok?" His face was rad! Trying to steal Team Drunk's disco ball back from 2 high girls and then Oliver. He really didn't want to give it back and Rhia looked worried. Having Caitlin (Tigre) tell me "Someone told me you didn't like me because I have blonde hair". W/ out a doubt the most retarded things I've ever heard. To the person who said that, stop pulling shit out of your ass. I mean come one.......blonde hair?!? LAME REASON. It's not true Caitlin. Feeling very pretty in the moring walking around next to the super sketchy, super creepy ravers that did drugs. Whatever you do Courtney just don't look at the eyes, they will steal your soul! Meeting Neoh and Char.....hahaha Char and last but best of all.......raving w/ a drunk Courtney! Actually that's a lie, the best part was my sleep in the tent, mmmm....sleep, and getting to go home. |

I enjoyed it, at least from what I remembered.
props to MONEY and EVOLVE - the show could of gone on with just these two stages. (oh and of course funky town!) hello to ALL my friends that I saw! and no hard feelings to the people I got with the super soaker. mixing drugs is fun for awhile. Thrillseekers were INSANE! and of course Dent8r threw down the sickest tracks of the night! ;) Hirshee & Tom Mezey blew the house away. Rocked it hard to soma. where was tazix? :( I was wet, I was cold. I've never seen so many sketch tards in my life. Oh, and i'm retiring. 1 year of partying - straight. Every weekend. Mostly twice - three times a week, this week was ALL week. I'm done. See you good folks around, i've made a lot of good memories, and a lot of good friends. |

....... WOW.
Amaaaaaaazing party. The best part of that party for me was seeing that the underground dance scene is actually alive and well in Vancouver. I saw shitloads of liquidheads, poppers, wavers, botters, and tutters! Oh, and even one guy busting some sick digitz too! I was the white guy in the blue t-shirt and cargos popping and liquiding, if any of you dancers remember me. As for the music, it was all about the breaks. The stage with the hardwood floor, the money stage, and the one right across from the money stage were amazing. Oh, and that old school Florida breaks set was SICK over by that stage which was doing r&b for so long Hirshee's set on the money stage was the highlight of the rave scene for me this year. Dude... absolutely, 100%, fuckin chocolate funk! Those girls dancing up on the stage were hella hot... and thanks to Bebu Funfun for throwing me a pair of white gloves! What a GREAT idea for increasing the vibe! You rock! OH! Props to DJ CINTO for dropping Another Level - Be Alone No More (Double 99 Speed Garage Mix) at one of the breaks stages in the early hours of the morning! Dude I had to hear some speed garage, and you made it happen! Toooootal props. Hell, he didn't even have a timeslot there, and he was ripping it up soooo nicely! Note to self: alcohol inebriation and technical dancing do not go hand in hand! Then again, nor does walking :P Thanks to all the promoters and all the ravers out there for making this such a memorable experience for me. These Apex parties are keeping the scene alive, year by year. - Dave |

WOW what a night. Where to start, we got there at like 6 pm and started drinkin. I was really choked that they wouldnt let u bring sealed water bottles in. Very very dissapointed with the people who ran the concession. Thats just LOW at a venue with no runnin water. But the party was DOPE. MAN OH MAN. The money stage was ILL!! Christian played a sick and i mean a sick set. The funky town was DOPE, got me shakin my ass all night. The boodang and the evolve stage were good, rocked ALL night till the early dawn. I remember i was walkin and all the sudden i heard a track my DJ MORGAN. I couldnt belive it. I ran to the front and just stood there, amazed that im hearing this track. Good people, good weather, INCREDIBLE music. I danced so much i was soo tired when i was driving back home. But i had a blast. Thanx all who contributed to this event. Adam it was good seein ya buddy. and payam ill see u soon aight.
once again much love ans respect to all who made the night memorable. |

Hell my ears are still ringing, what a party. With so many choices of stages, I was basically in heaven. I have to give it up to the breaks....you know what they say "if it ain't breaks,
fix it!" Got Flail? So now the parties over, when do we do it again? Last edited by TheCooker; Aug 02, 04 at 06:27 AM. |

Well Well Well, what can i say.... APEX was one hell of an amazing party.
There were 4 stages that were my favorite during the night... The Trippple A crazy laser stage, the EVOLVE stage, the BOODANG stage, and the $$$ Stage... one question $ where the hell where the naked strippers? Paying 5 dollars for a hot dog is crazy, with no fries too!! like WTF, oh well, desparate times = desparate measures when someone's hungry. Danced my feet to retirement, thank god im sitting in a nice chair right now, kickin back relaxing. APEX = DEFINATLY THE BEST OUTDOOR PARTY YET!!!!!!! |
