It's actually pretty hard to explain how good it is
It's like a amazing x 10! The quality, The production, The Vibe, The People The atmosphere etc etc were all 110% Even the security and stuff were very friendly We brought flats and flats of beer. When we got caught with one security would just take us to the side and ask us to be discreet about it, pour it into a cup and throw the can in the garbage Never a dull moment The dj's and acts were top notch. The funny thing is this is one of the only parties were I really don't care who is spinning! It's all about the party! I recomend this party to everyone and anyone Trust me I wouldn't spend $260 on 2 tix, + gas + food + hundreds more, miss 2 days of work, (which costs even more $$) and drive 8 hours just for any old party. So far Shambhala is the only party I'd do that for. In fact I'd spend double and drive twice as far. Yes it's that good! If you're the type of person who doesn't have a ton of cash to spend on this sort of thing. SAVE YOUR MONEY. It's worth missing 5 or 6 other parties to go to this one |

Shambhala rocked me like a hurricane. Seriously. It was my first time being there and everything was perfect. Rad people, rad music, the whole feeling overall was amazing. I just wish I hadn't gotten sick and left early. Dammit.

Man, what a party!!!! Deffinatly worth the $150 for a ticket, and the 16 hour drive one way, and the getting lost along the way, and the dirty feet. And yes, sask kids know how to do it right! you Van kids think your so tough.... come on out and we'll show ya how to do it up! lol. But seriously. Big props to everyone involved with this shindig. I was really expecting somthing like Connect only bigger with temp stages, not permanent structures. And that LASER!!!! my GAWD! Next year, we're thinking of getting a BUS! filling it with Sask kids, and taking over! hey amber, you think you could handle it?!?!

One of the best parties ever!
Wassabi Collective and 3rd Eye Tribe were as good as it gets! Lorin - Adam Freeland - Dave Dub and The Fat Conductor - and some D&B guy from Kelowna were awesome. But I have to say I have never heard so much poor mixing in my life. If they were to get a few bigger headliners and filter out some of those train wreckers, they would have "the" best jam in NW North America. Already heard rumours about Skeewiff and Fort Knox for next year! (two of my Fav's) More Breaks More! what an awesome weekend, i have never been around 8000 more beautiful people. was great to see lorin back again, and adam shaikh w/melissa from wasabi collective were amazing in the village on sunday night! all the music was so good.
thank goddess for the river! i must have spent 3 hours in there on saturday, it was sooooo hot outside. until next year...peace:) |

oh, and the beach stage.... so nice. it is my favourite. ganga giri with his didjeridoo (sp?) on saturday during the day was fucking incredible. and chebb i sabbah after him... holy shit, unbelievable. over 30 years that man has been spinning... wow.
i get to go back to work today, it'll be interesting i'm sure;) see you guys next time. |

AMAZING x1000!!!!
WOW.. back to reality after being in the bushes for 4 days... haha...
i cannnot even describe how AMAZING this party was for me.... no party will EVER compare... EVER!!! night #1. did some shrooms for my first time... holy fuck.... wow.. just wow... it was trippy walking thru the forrest for the first time all high discovering cool little shit.....the buddah things every where tripped the fuck outta me!!...... everything was perfect! everytime we went to a stage... the music was awesome... the sound was kick ass.. better than anything ive heard at a regular party or club.... visuals were insane... fractal forrest was deffinatly the place to be for trippy shit.... night #2. chilled in the river.... i LOVE that river... its so cold at first but then you get in and your so hot u just forget how cold it is... soooooo refreshing! didnt party too hard that night... was kinda in a cranky mood... TOO MUCH HEAT....ended up loosing my friends.... so just kinda walked around then went to bed at like 4.... adam freeland on the main stage was pretty insane.. when he dropped "we want your soul" everyone was going mental! he was alot better than i thought we was gonna be..... night#3. after loosing $100 worth of really good e.... (which also contributed to my cranky mood on saturday.....) we found some really cool guys that sold us 5 caps for 40 bones.... i dropped half.... an hour later i wasnt really feelin it... so im like oook... ill do another half.... we go to fractal forrest... half an hour later... i was high out of my treee.... i danced on the stage with some reallly fucking cool dancers..... i had my bubbles with me... so i started blowing those off the stage... had fun trippin people out and making them smile! :) i was good for a couple hours... but then i started to get really bad anxiety... so i started trippin out hard.... i hallucinated more on e than i did on mushrooms.... when i was going pee in the woods... i kept seeing things and i swear i thought i saw elves!! haha.... went to first aid to get some tylenol cause i had a massive headache from jaw clenching..... the guy gives me a tylenol... 15 mins later... im throwin up.... i think i was a combination of the tylenol... and trippin out bad.,. and being so tierd... all i really wanted to do was sleep.... so they put me on a cot and wrapped me in blankets.... it was so warm and comfy...and i felt alot better there... so i told my friends to go party and come back in a while.. i didnt wanna ruin their night..... monday we chilled for a couple hours in the river.... then had to head back home.... hit a HUGE storm in the mountains.. with lighting and crazy rain where we couldnt even see the road....i was happy to get home safely and sleep in a nice comfy bed..... not to sound too much like a hippy.. but shambalah is sorta magical.... it attracts the "right" kinda people... thats why it has such an awesome vibe and people always wanna go back... i cannot wait to go back next year... im sure it will just keep getting better and better... and like i said.. nothing will ever compare to this party! props to all the people, volunteers, security( who were so nice! not like asshole genisis people) that kept everything sooooo organized and kept everyone "comfortable".... it was truly amazing! |
