Chris Liberator @ The Drink...
What a night! Best Thursday in recent memory =)
I was as impressed with Liberator, as I was with the crowd who came out to support this night!!! Would have been nice to see him play on a 3rd turntable, oh well... Next time! ;) Thanks for a great evening :) See you next Thursday @ Driven :p DT Last edited by D; Sep 03, 04 at 04:59 PM. |

Yeah it was an awesome night, So nice to hear some acid :) Liberator was all over that mixer, he could have used a third deck cause he didn't look busy enough. j/k If this is a sign of things to come at Driven, then I'm going to be a happy happy man.

Mario and I want to thank everyone who came out and supported our "Project Liberator".........for me it was a truly wicked night full of smiling, happy people GOING OFF.........I have never been the recepient of so many sweaty hugs in one place :D
It is such a treat when you get to meet someone for the first time from a far away land and you click immediately because you share a mutual passion. Chris and I had the most phenomenal conversation this morning about the unifying power of electronica and the potential Vancouver has to really cultivate a scene for harder music. I am so happy everyone had such a good time and it really made me feel so blessed that we were able to share this night with you. Even the ones who couldn't make it out due to circomstancial instance I thank........Elena, Serge, Vlad there are a few more but you know who you are.........you guys were really troopers putting up with little over stressed me. Thank you for believing in us. Danny, Trevor aka Son of Jacob, James, Alex and Boomtown, Bassix and On Deck thank you for pushing tickets for me......our show wouldn't have been so great without your help. Dave, the visuals were awesome. I thank you so much for totally transforming the drink, it really added to the whole vibe of the night. Stay tuned kids. If you thought Lib was something (which IT was) just wait......more in store for you from the 4 on the floor team :D:D Oh and if anyone found a disposable kodak camera that had 4 pics left on it...........that's mine....I really need it back :( |

Dont smoke, dont drink, dont go out, stay home and fuck? - HAHAHA awesome song! Also that other one about the guy who goes out on a friday night and doesnt leave til monday night. If anyone knows what these songs are called, please ID. Son of Jacob, i rarely dig local hard techno djs, but u did it right my friend, i was on a journey. Shouts too: Mirka, Josh, Caleb, Maple leaf, Issac from Juice. PP< U were there? Outstanding show. If this is the line Driven is progressing along, then I will def. come out more. I suggest getting VNV Nation, Tom Wax, Darren Chistian, Corvin Dalek or some of the other smaller but harder performers out there for the next show. |

oh yeah there were some definate 303's (777's) in there, granted there was alot of hard techno (Hydraulix sounding) for alot of the night.

Dont smoke, dont drink, dont go out, stay home and fuck? - HAHAHA awesome song!
-bootleg of a house track vocal overtop of murder was the bass Also that other one about the guy who goes out on a friday night and doesnt leave til monday night. Stay Up forever #69 "One night in Hackney" Liberator vs Dave the drummer *********that is Chris talking in the track too!!! Vath- uh probably not unless you want to lend me alot of money or pay $30.00 a ticket VNV Nation - I love em.........but only the heads would show and would be too risky Tom Wax would be sick..........so would Darren Christiansen but again not a big enough draw. That is the problem, unless you bring Digweed people don't get excited and eventhen I think the city has become desensitzed because we do get a good flow of peeps coming through. I am chasing a big show for Feb.... But big shows cost big bucks. And at a $2.00 door charge until 11pm and $5.00 afterwards with only half of the people actually paying it will take us a longtime to save money. Things are in the works :D:D not just on the techno front either. Remember our night is multi genre and we are chasing lots of dj's. I just hope that the enthusiam is there when it is just res. Love and light Mirka |

all you gotta say do is make a post on msg boards
"sven vath at *insert venue here along with date*" you wouldnt need to tell anyone.. that show would sell out in a week. hawtin always sold out and we all know Vath is 100X better than hawtin. now if vath only did his own visuals.. (that was a fuckin awesome video you showed me jess) |
