Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for the great words on behalf of Tony (who wanted to post, but I wouldn't let him on his own computer!), and this is going to be an awesome party!!!
He asked me to let you all know, that the part about 25% of the profits is false. It's 25%, right off the top. Revenue, before costs, everything. If money is lost on the party somehow, so be it, the 25% of revenue still gets held for charity. So basically, $5 of every ticket goes to fight breast cancer. Even if a ticket was sold for less, it doesn't matter. $5 first, then the rest is figured out! Because of this, it is asked that guestlist requests not be made for this event. (Except sNyx, he'll beat us all up! He's nuts!) It's for a good cause, even I'LL be paying. I've known Tony for quite a while, and I can honestly say that he's done some wicked things for people just because he's a nice guy and means well, including saving my ass when my truck got towed from his place once, and I'd just met him! So instead of feeling good from the result of things imbibed AT a party, why not also feel good just buying a ticket TO the party? Come check it out. :) |

What kind of question is that? Giving 25% of your profits to a good cause is a great thing to do. He would fully deserve the other 75% for himself. People gotta make a living to ya know. I don't understand why people think that making a profit for themselves in a legit way is a bad thing Good Job Tony! |

Man, I tell ya. It's interesting to have heard some good comments since my last post. Tony's doing a quality event, with a good lineup. He's being above-board on everything, he's obviously not going to make a mint on this party (who do you think he is....AGROculture? ;) ), but he's being straight forward.
If he puts in the work for the event, then I think he's entitled to be compensated, as is ANY promoter. Christ, what are you guys, a bunch of communists? :| |

I realised last night that this is the same night as my show Benni Benassi
Usually I'd look at it as competition, and I'd try and take him out! haha but Tony is a good guy and he'll throw a quality party I was offered guestlist but of course cause I have the show the same night I can't make it. But I still bought a $20 ticket anyway and gave it to a young girl. I'm glad to see that the money will go to a good cause =) |

...with the positive support shown just on this thread, I really am getting excited about this night... I can assure you Tony is FULLY prepared to have to pay out of his own pocket... we want a minimum $1000 donation... even if it means some of the DeeJays take a discount on pay for the evening... hopefully we end up making a difference in someone's life, regardless of how small...

Great to hear man. I kinda thought it sounded wierd when I read it. The few times I've gotten to chill with Tony he came across as a great guy and it doesn't surprise me that he would do something like this. Good luck with everything and I'll see you there! |
