Lorin Bassnectar @ Sonar
Holy damn my head hurts from all that drinking.
Good sets all round - Soda, Priceless, Lorin (although I was doing to much drinking to really pay attention) and of course, Czech. Soda - I definitely want a copy of that electro track bro! Props to Soda and crew for an extremely sucecssfull night. Hopefully they can get the sound turned up in that place! Peace. |

Definitely great tunes all night.
The time spent in line was passed recounting Shambhamemories with a dude from Whistler and it got me that much more excited. What was with the sound though? Not the usual eardrum searing madness that I've come to expect from Sonar. |

I came, I saw, I wondered, I left.
Where was the melody? And where the eff were the real "breakz"?!! That was something else. Didn't get much dancing in; the tempo was very sloooowww. Not my sorta crowd or vibe, we called it the bo crowd!! Body Odour. Haha. Had a wicked laugh though, when Lorin took down his hair and head banged like he was 'IT' (from the Adam's Family) on the decks. Damn my stomach hurt!! i came to relive some Shambhala memories, and left with that purpose fully conquered.
man, i had a blast that night. the music was perfect...everything i have come to expect from Lorin. grindy bass, hip-hoppy breaks...it was all great! the sound was a little weird though. ryan pointed out that the speaker we were dancing close too kept cutting in and out with each track. not sure what was going on there. it was cool meeting the guy from whistler. fun to share shambhala stories with someone who was just as excited as we were. this was definitly the best show i've seen at Sonar. ps. dave, next time we go drinking, more tequila shots are in order. those were dammmmmn fun. |

I'm sorry if you didn't have a good time or not, but I guess the 400+ other people that were goin off DID. I'm sorry for your lack of electronica knowledge and ability to know what having a good time is like. on another note... if both the kings of trance.. Azim and Kraig can have a good time lastnite, maybe its just you... Last edited by narc; Nov 14, 04 at 08:17 AM. |
