a mix is singular...as in mixing from ONE track the the OTHER... ONE MIX...

I had the cross fader on the left side (ill leave names out of this), but stupid dj #1 that wouldnt leave the decks alone put the fader to the left side when i set it to the middle to begin with... (because we were trying to trouble shoot the headphone situation...and he was tweaking shit left and right...fucking Djm-500's, the MONITOR knob was the HEADPHONE knob..and i was afraid of blowing the monitor as it was loud enough)... but anyways, i reached the cue and started to mix, my mixes range 40-1min and right when i eq'd the mids...i wasnt hearing shit on the monitor....i cranked the gains...STILL NO record playing...i look, and right before the moment in the track wered id cut the bass from one track to the other...i realised....the cross fader was over to the left side the whole time... and with the gains cranked...you can imagine how loud the track was...FUCK!
