Fatboy Slim & Donald Glaude @ the premier
Wow weird show. Got there just after Donald Glaude started spinin.
Guy was going nuts already yelling at the crowd, stopping the beat to yell some more, just trying to pump the crowd like crazy. Then he starts mixing the tracks with his mouth! Didn't sound that great but it was so funny it didn't matter. Then fatboy slim came on. What a goof! He was shaking his ass and headbanging to all the tracks, biting records and writing crazy messages all over the sleeves for the camera. Then he starts climbing on the speakers and posing for shots! All while bare foot. Hilarious! He started juggling water bottles and tried to bounce one off his arm, it smacked my friend right in the face! Different mix of tracks but good none the less. The crowed on the other hand was a different story. Crazy mix of people, young, old, no nammers, there were bald dudes with beards wearing all leather, and even a few cougars. The thing that sucked was it seemed only a hand full of people were there to see the DJ's. Most people just stood at the back. Or were drinking at the bars. There was a girl at the front just standing with her boyfriend looking bored to tears. Everyone started leaving early, and at the end there were some guys yelling how much the place sucked. A good vibe this did not make! The only reason I had fun was Donald, Fatboy, and my buds. I kinda felt sorry for fatboy cuz he deserved a better crowd. He left the stage early and I sure the crowd was the reason. Oh well...... if he ever comes to Vancouver we'll show him a good time. Oh ya also my buddies car got towed. I just laughed cuz something always has to happen on our excursions. His girl went ballistic, but then so did I when we found out how much it cost to get it out. $325 american! Mother fuckers! But I couldn't stay mad.....shit happens, and I finally got to see fatboy slim...... |
