The BreakBeat WarFare Hiphop room review..
What did everyone think of the performance by Bad News (Brad Influence and Busta Gram)? I know the rest of the night was fuckin bunk because the where fuckin no good rappers there at all. Frankly i'm sick of hearing "dibittybadittyhooobahlicky" fuckin jungle MC's tryin to be fuckin hip hoppers.......

^ hiphop MCs used to be there for the exact same thing till sometime in the mid 80s when the MCs became the focus rather than the DJ. A good MC (regardless of the genre) should be there to compliment and enhance the DJ and the crowd's experience rather than competing with the music.
A lot of shitty jungle MCs do nothing but attempt to rhyme over the tunes rather than hype the crowd too. I lost count of how many fantastic DJ sets were ruined by a shitty MC who just would not shut the fuck up. Good jungle mcs (and hell, live hiphop mcs for djs) know when to rhyme, when to hype the crowd, and when to just let the DJ do his thing. I think there's only like 2 good jungle MCs in this town. And I don't even want to start in on the suburban white boy jungle mcs that feel the need to talk/rhyme with a UK/jamaican accent. |

Nah i agree i think that there are some Wikkid mc's out there but it shouldnt just be their show it should be like a duet! COME ON PEOPLE! the Dj is there to support you! YOUR THERE TO SUPPORT THEM TOO! and about the room and how it was. when i was down there i enjoyed it but i was bouncing around SOO much because people kept telling me to go upstairs and then going into the smoking room and then being like WTF she left! LOL. But i stayed downstairs for like an hour at point and i liked it... i should shutup i was really drunk so i probably shouldnt review this lol. OK back to the real world Who wants gingerale? |

http://www.agroculture.ca/mp3/15-Emo...lJcAndTy-C.mp3 Thats what a hip hop MC should sound like. My cousin Dave aka Emotionz However when he rhymes over jungle he hosts the show, he doesn't try to steal it Last edited by AGROculture; Dec 16, 04 at 11:47 PM. |

All he wanted to know was if people enjoyed his rapping. Which btw Brad rocked. Good job :) |

I like the beaboxing MC's the best, personally; it can add quite a bit to whatever track's playing. However, it can also come across like the racket being caused by the faux-hippie with the jembe. |
