suite 1850

The hardcore was good

after being there for 15 minutes.. I heard awesome acid core.

Those live perfomances were whacky.

All in all.. I've been to better hardcore parties.

sound was wicked

6/10

NinjaBoy and I were contemplating if this party was worth the $10/each. We ended up seeing all the people we wanted to see there, outside and the party seemed kinda trashy so we decided it was not worth the mediocre $20. But slapping Marty made everything better.

:)

Interesting party, but some of the talent was hard to dance to, and the main draws seemed to be the live vocal stuff, which had the side-effect of clearing the place out by 2AM or so. It certainly drew a diverse crowd. It could have used some change-ups in genre though (Dr. Doom's happy hardcore set was like a breath of fresh air. Smurfs in the dryer! Bahahaha...), and the sound system was much too loud.

No Robb in the 10PM slot though, which bugged me. I came early to see his set, and to have that cancelled was a bit of a disappointment. I rushed to get out of the door and forgot stuff as a result.

I'm not blaming Robb, don't misunderstand. I agree that it was a bit of a curious decision. I think that his set would have gone over very well at 1 or 2.

Nothing at all, but Robb has been brought out to a party in Montreal, to pretty much headline it. I'm just saying, people should be around to hear his set.

By the by, i'm working staff at Hypnotica. dont think i'm not looking forward to hearing your set. :D

I apologise for not showing up. It was clear this promoter had no idea who I was, or intended to find out. Not only did they spell my name wrong on the line up, wrote and released an bio for me which I found offensive. But they gave me opening slot just to get my over with first.
On top of that. I recieved no information about what was happening with the party. I had to go diging for it myself.

I promise never to accept a booking from anyone this sketchy again.

When they do something like what they did to me. Yes, I am going to stand my grounds.
