slipknot

It's been years since I had last seen them play, and I really wasn't disappointed with this show at all. The crowd and the band both had tons of energy. I don't know if it's just me but they've seemed to mellow a bit with age, now I don't know if that has so much to do with them or if it is mainly to do with the fact that the forum really isn't the best place to showcase a show like they're used to doing as of late.

The band was extremely animated, the one suggestion I would have though is that clown picks up an atkins book as he should probably lose a couple of pounds before they go on tour next.

Just as always "Spit It Out" was probably the standout performance of the night, they've been getting people to get low like that since I first saw them at the commodore.

The one gripe I might have is that the sound was probably the worst I've ever heard it in the forum, and I've seen a few shows there, that might have to do with the system they're travelling with as it most likely is suited for larger arenas.

Overall, I'd say that it was a great show and there's nothing like seeing a 12 year old kid in makeup in front of you scream out "PEOPLE = SHIT" as his mother holds his hoodie for him.

It was my first metal show. IT ROCKED. I was in the pit all night. I was impressed with Killswitch Engaged, and with the Knot. God they are soooooo good live, they definitely know how to get the crowd going! I was sooo stoked on their song selection, and on the jumping up part for spit it out(I think).

Great show, The pit felt like football pratice... People were very respectable aswell, If you fell, someone picked you up.

I am stoked I went, but I can't hear out of one ear right now lol.

As always, the boys from Slipknot did not disappoint. After seeing them for the 4th time now I can honestly say that they are getting consistently better at performing. They know how to play the crowd and their musicianship has vastly improved over years back.

This show was NUTS! What a way to get out your anger! "FUCK IT ALL, FUCK THIS WORLD, FUCK EVERYTHING THAT YOU STAND FOR! DON'T BELONG, DON'T EXIST, DON'T GIVE A SHIT, DON'T EVER JUDGE ME!!!!!"

Anyone else notice the mask change for Vermillion????

I thought it was pretty good too, I would say their performance at the Tacoma dome was alot better though. Tacoma was set up like their DVD performance in London. Last night was good, that stage was just too small for them to have cool shit , like the hydraulic drums. That sound was horrible though, I've seen Manson and Slayer there and they both sounded alot better.

Yes the pit was very respectful whenever I was gonna go have a smoke I would just walk my way to the back of the pit then stand there and smoke no one would bother smashin into me cause I was smoking then boom smoke out back up front in the crazyness..

It was a good show, the sound was terrible but I still managed to sing along to every song despite.

I went nuts on the heretic anthem!

My jaw is swollen, I think I got punched in the face about 6-8 times in the mosh pits, though I got my shots in! My neck is so stiff I can't even move it, and my body aches, this is the sign of a good show!

Thanks for gusto coming, sorry to bump into you rawb, hah. Thanks for the wave, heather.

i heard next time they come to vancouver they are gonna have like 40 guys. some of them aren't gonna do anything, mostly just strut around, maybe play the same drum beat as the others, maybe yell at the crowd without a mic, something like that. the more the better.
