How long have you spinning the decks for?
I've been playing vinyl since August 2003, digital since early 2001

What originally hooked you into the DJing scene?
Just sort of figured I couldn't do without it any longer, and found a way to smuggle a pair of MK3s into the country in a way I could actually afford.

What type of music do you specialise in?
Draw a line between dirty, funky, old-school breaks and spacey, 6AM, progressive tech-house, then stick me somewhere in the middle of it.

Most expensive vinyl that you have paid for? - how much was it?
I think that's got to be an old Jamiroquai remix from 1993 that I got shipped in from Britain - after duty, taxes and shipping it was probably forty dollars.

What is your most treasured record and why?
Olav Basoski - "Playin' Da Game". It's the first record I ever played live that got people screaming and jumping up and down.

What events have you played at?
A bunch of little stuff around town, but a few from the last year or so would be The Gong Show, Arts County Fair, Bush Funk, Anza Love and Re:Union.

What National / International clubnights have you played at?
Aside from my ten-year residency at Ministry Of Sound, I'm just a local.

Have you got any DJing horror stories?
Heh. First big show I ever played live. I was absolutely terrified when I got up on stage - I had the last set of the night, and the place was packed and going *nuts* from the excellent DJs before me. It was a little dark, and I was a little nervous, so I mixed up the "master" and "booth" volume knobs. For over a minute, I was the only one in the building who *couldn't* hear that I'd mistakenly turned the monitors up and killed the system in front of seven hundred people.

It was magical.

Are you a resident DJ, if so where?
Nothing regular at the moment, aside from monthly afterhours in our loft, but I'm excited and flattered that I've just been picked up by the Intimate crew!

Any other information?
Hm. Ask me?

ill-esha is on a distinguished road
I heard that he likes cats.. well.. maybe a little too much.
I also heard that he was subjected to the cruel and unusual torture of living with snotty junglist roommates for awhile.
