apparently i wont be able to make it to insomnia though. ... .. mabey satisfaction.. anyone know if its going to be woth 40? Wikid, im going to have to dissagree with you on that one... the 666 room had killer beats almost straight through the whole night! Mist room was definitly a sweet set up though. the laszers were kool. i cant wait to see the pic of Mat in the lazer eating picture!!! :D i guess it may be partly because there was a little more room upstairs that it seemed to me like everyone was real freindly. Mist room ended up getting pritty packed. |

What a night. It was GREAT being back inside Riverside. As mentioned, the setup in both rooms were great. The shiney backdrop material and cloud puffs on the main stage were neat. I liked how the color of the lasers and lights reflected off the backdrop making everything look so much more intense. Great job Bev and company. And HUGE props to Kam, Harp & Dennis on tackling the daunting task that is Riverside.
The music in both rooms were good. I missed the headliners because of Czech and JDS- both of which were really good. I coulda used some breaks with a little more energy and stuff.. but it suited the night pretty well. I wish the rooms got a little more packed, but that's ok. It didn't get too hot, or over crowded. but GOD DAMN were there a lot of speakers in the main room (20+???) The highlight of the night for me was when the guy with the water bottle balanced on his head made his grand entrance. What a pimp. Everyone was like, "It'S THE GUY!" and it was like he had red carpet under his feet or something. what a superstar. He was goign around teaching girls how to do it, WHILE dancing. craziness. Lastly, my set. Playing out is so much fun. Having that much speaker power at your disposal is hard to describe. I tried playing out things that we probably otherwise wouldn't have heard that night. Tho there weren't many people in the room right off the bat, I had a really good time opening for those that were in the 666 room. Damn is it stressful playing with shakey needles (and hands- lol), but i tried to make the best of it for you guys, and i hope you all had fun. It was unforgettable, and next time will be better. Props to my friends who came out to support. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! |
